Verlander, Tigers reach one-year deal

The Tigers just announced a one-year contract with Verlander, thus avoiding arbitration. Terms were not immediately available, though it's obviously somewhere for $3,675,000, midway between $3.2 and $4.15 million (the numbers submitted by either side a couple weeks ago). In any case, they avoid an arbitration hearing.

UPDATE @ 5pm: The $3,675,000 figure is confirmed. Another key note to keep in mind is that a long-term deal was not discussed and will not be discussed this season. No multi-year contracts at all this winter for the Tigers.
