Pudge gone.No lefty yet.Wonder if trading is over for us,or is there more to come?Pudge wont be catching in NY next year if Posada`s surgery is successful.Was`nt Polly traded at deadline a few years back,and resigned with the Tigers after the year was over?hmmm.Got to believe someone else will be traded,released,or sent down.With Sardina coming up,it leaves us with 26 on roster. Farnsworth #`s 44.1 inn 43 K`s 43 Hits 17 BB 3.65 ERA 1 Save Come on Tigers,Lets get this one back.

Pudge was going to be a free agent and they were going to go with the younger guy, Inge. I can see trading him. I only wonder if they got enough in return. Apparently, the club is still trying to win this year, but I think I may have looked at picking up prospects. I think we remain around the .500 mark. Farnsworth will probably help some, but unfortunately for me, I"ve never liked him much. No real reason, some people just rub you the wrong way, you know? Anyway, any negative comments I may have about Pudge leaving would be sentimental stuff. Well, we needed bullpen help so DD went out and got it.

Been reading up on the Pudge trade.Farnsworth is free agent at the end of the year.If Pudge would have left via free agency at the end of the year,we would have gotten draft pick.Because we traded him we get no draft pick. I am not sure we get draft pick if Farnsworth doesnt sign with us.MAYBE JASON KNOWS, I think that DD is making this trade in order for us to win now,this year.It makes me feel good that the Tiger management is not throwing the towel in.And there is a possibility that we could move Farnsworth tommorrow in another deal. And guess what?The Tigers have just tied the game at 11-11 in the 8th.So Lee cant get his 15th win, at least, off us.

I'm just getting back to watching the game. I turned if off because i was so disgusted with nate robertson.. i flipped back and it was 8-6, saw about 2 pitches and it was 10-6.. and i turned it right back off. Looks like I missed quite a bit.. Cabrera just missed that.. 3 feet short maybe..

Someone needs to take robertsons spot in the rotation. I'm convinced just about anyone would be better than him. It's pathetic.. score 11 runs and not even be leading cause your starter gave up 7 in the first 3 innings.. Garbage. Robertson will go down as the WORST contract of Dombrowski's tenure with detroit.

Zumaya (hid fastball) gets hammered if he doesn't throw a good 2nd pitch. Throwing the curve tightens up his arm. So in my opinion, DD thinks the pen is our priority.. and pulled the trigger

I know Pudge isn't what he used to be, but Kyle Farnsworth?????? What is that!!!???? Farnsworth may have nice numbers this year, but he typically bites! Tiger management continues to prove itself inept this year. For all their seeming brilliance over the past couple of years, I believe a couple of their off-season moves have now caused them to make more stupid moves to try to fix those. Farnsworth in my book does not do anything to improve the Tiger bullpen. And to trade Pudge for another guy who is going to be a free agent seems pointless to me. All this and they end up sending him to the stinkin Yankees.

I guess the one positive of this deal is that if the Tigers get into a benches clearing brawl they'll at least win that with Farnsworth! Not at all convinced they'll win much else. Let's hope I'm wrong...

Lopez allows 50% of inherited runners to score (15 of 30). Only time he pitches any good is in long relief when we're getting bombed.

Seems like everytime Verlander takes the mound, he's needing to go deep because of a depleted bullpen. Perhaps because Nate is pitching the previous game? For an "innings eater," Nate's lookin' pretty underfed.
