As expected, Vance Wilson had surgery today to reconstruct the elbow ligament that was operated on last year but didn't hold. Dr. Stephen Lemos performed the procedure this time at Detroit Medical Center.
I'd say this pretty much ends Wilson's tenure with the Tigers, unless he signs a minor league contract or something. This was the last year of his contract and considering his struggles coming back from injury, I don't see why we'd throw money at him when we have no idea if he'll ever play again. I think it kinda cements Inge as Pudge's replacement, unless we trade him or find someone else and move him to 3B again.
