Thursday: M's at Tigers

Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez is in the ballpark today. He paid a visit to Jim Leyland, who warned him that he's a Notre Dame fan before they had a nice conversation.

You'll also read later today that Leyland's not a big fan of MLB's new efforts to pick up the pace of the game. In fact, he had a pretty big rant on it. I'll try to give the highlights.

At which point does a man with a 620 OPS get pulled from the 3 whole? 34 Games played, 115 at bats the sample size is starting to get pretty big. His OPS in April 643, May 583! I think the writing is on the wall here, either 60 DL him and let the shoulder rest or retire. I love the Sheff but he's really hurting this team right now and we have enough problems to deal with without this easily fixable one.

I hope Bonderman can pick it up. He does not look sharp and was lucky in the 1st.
