If you missed Kenny at bat Monday ...

You get another chance to check it out today, since I think this game is on MLB.TV. That's weather permitting, and it is raining here in Clearwater right now, but supposedly the showers will be scattered during the day. No DH means no Sheff again. Also, you get another day of Brandon Inge at short. Here's the lineup:

  1. Granderson, CF
  2. Polanco, 2B
  3. Guillen, 1B
  4. Ordonez, RF
  5. Cabrera, 3B
  6. Jones, LF
  7. Rodriguez, C
  8. Inge, SS
  9. Rogers, P

And for the Phillies:

  1. Jimmy Rollins, SS
  2. Shane Victorino, CF
  3. Chase Utley, 2B
  4. Ryan Howard, 1B
  5. Pat Burrell, LF
  6. Pedro Feliz, 3B
  7. Geoff Jenkins, RF
  8. Chris Coste, C
  9. Chad Durbin, P

Jason, I have to steal your Quote of the Day because this one is too good to pass up. Leyland on Willis: "He's not a mechanical guy, really," Leyland said. "He's got some different pitches in a funky delivery. I would like to see a funky delivery, but a consistent funky delivery without variations of the funk."

I was about to comment on Inge at SS but Jim Molony already has an article about that on the main site. Brandon has only to learn some of the ins and outs of the position at the ML level and he's good to go there. This gets more interesting all the time.

What's with Renteria? I hope we don't have an aging shortstop with chronic back problems.

Listening to this one on the radio, sounds like they are probably going to call this one. Too bad for Kenny. I was real nervous when Curtis got hit on the wrist, (actually still nervous, until I hear his name announced for the next game?)

Again they are not really hitting today. I know they just started to go around the second time, but they were making Durbin look real good weren't they. Easy short at bats for Durbin, he really wasn't having to work to hard to get them out.??

I think Mr. Inge will be the downfall of this team as everything seems to be centered on keeping him happy!

Good call on the quote, Rich. I haven't actually had a quote of the day since we went away from notebooks and towards having every note as its own story, and I wasn't around when Leyland said that one, but that's good.
