Cabrera reports
He was in the clubhouse this morning, a day ahead of reporting day. Still no idea how much weight he was dropped, but he looks very good. There's no extra fat on him.
He had a rather large smile on his face after coming in, especially after seeing whose lockers he had next to his.
"I see next to my locker, I see Renteria, I see Sheffield," he said. It's exciting. It's like my first day in the big leagues."
That might be the extent of the highlights today. There's a line of thunderstorms headed this way that should wash out part of all of the workouts this morning miraculously miss Lakeland, allowing the Tigers to get all of their work in for the day under partly cloudy skies with barely a sprinkle in sight. Shows what I know about weather.
Jason - thanks for all the articles and blog entries. Reading all this makes me even more excited about spring training then I was already. I literally get chills reading the articles and thinking about seeing the team come together this spring and the beginning of the season. Awesome stuff! Go Tigers!

Florida weather anyway, hey? Nice edit. :-)
"Every presidential year Inge becomes a utility player" was a good line, too.
Anyway, just wanted to comment on the picture on the main site of Cabrera working out. That is just a big boy. Look at those legs. Like a Michigan running back.

Thanks Jason. The guy is huge; legs like tree trunks and he was specific about things he wants to improve on his defensive game. It's so exciting!!!!
