Just out from the Tigers:
Jeremy Bonderman, Tim Byrdak, Miguel Cabrera, Curtis Granderson, Jacque Jones, Todd Jones, Macay McBride, Zach Miner, Magglio Ordonez, Placido Polanco, Rick Porcello, Ryan Raburn, Clay Rapada, Edgar Renteria, Nate Robertson, Ivan Rodriguez, Kenny Rogers, Bobby Seay, Jordan Tata, Marcus Thames, Justin Verlander, Dontrelle Willis and Vance Wilson
That's 23 players from the 40-man roster, and a very good share of what one would expect to be the 40-man roster. Of course, if you were waiting for the list before deciding whether or not to go, you're kind of out of luck, since it's sold out.
A litttle interesting who is not on this list?? Zumaya and Inge are not a suprise I guess they don't want to answer any question. I thought that Gary Sheffield would probably be there again, I don't know if we can use recoperation as an excuse though. I was watching a Pistons game a few weeks ago when they were playing New Jersey, I think that he was courtside. No Fernando Rodney either. Jason Grilli probably not because his wife is having a baby, anytime now I think?

The current lack of activity on Thames and Inge seems normal especially for the Tigers. Do most teams have a flurry of activity (trades, F/A signings)in Dec/early Jan, then settle in for a long winter? At what point does the "brass" consider the team "set". I'd like to think it's now because I'd just as soon go to war with what we have. I know we can't keep everyone, because the numbers just don't add up, you've only got 25 slots. However, with the devastatingly long season producing injuries and attrition, you really have probably 28-30 slots. We know Guillen,Polanco, SHEFF, IROD and our pitchers, somebody is going down. I think there is probably enough P/T to go around for more than 25 guys.
Finally, here's a crazy prediction, I think Inge has upside offensively and will have a better year, ditto on IROD.
