They lost to who?

The Twins are 6-7 in Johan Santana's starts this season, but Saturday might've been the top of the frustrations this season. Santana gave up a Ryan Zimmerman three-run homer for his only damage in seven innings, but Minnesota couldn't put across more than a run on former Twins farmhand Levale Speigner, who was a Rule 5 pick of the Nationals last December. And Santana's words sounded a little bit of frustration after the game. From MLB.com:

"I'm doing my job, it's just not working. It takes more than one guy," Santana said. "It's not just about one pitcher or one player. I always say it's a team effort. It doesn't matter how many innings you pitch if you're going to give up one or two runs -- if you're not able to score runs, then you're going to lose the game. So you become the loser, and that's the way it is.

"I'm very happy with everything that I have done. I know what it takes for me to do my job. I hope that all my teammates feel the same way and find a way to improve and do a better job out there."

In the Twins' defense, they have scored runs for him in some other starts, including a 10-4 rout of the White Sox May 28. But his losses this season include a 2-0 loss, this 3-1 decision, and a pair of 4-2 games, and of course those two games when Mike Maroth topped him this season. Of his six wins, he has a 2-1 victory and a 3-1 decision.

Do I hear trade?? He sounds like he is not happy with his team right now.
