Monday's lineup

Tim Byrdak is here at Fenway Park, and if for some reason the Tigers need to fill some innings, he'll be the guy to do it since Grilli and Ledezma are unavailable. Polanco gets a day off to rest his back following three games on the artificial turf and a late-night flight. Virgil Vasquez flew with the team to Boston and was going to take a car service to Pawtucket, where he'll rejoin the Mud Hens before they fly back to Toledo tomorrow morning.

  1. Granderson, CF
  2. Polanco, 2B
  3. Sheffield, DH
  4. Ordonez, RF
  5. Guillen, SS
  6. Rodriguez, C
  7. Casey, 1B
  8. Perez, 2B
  9. Inge, 3B

Two second basemen and no left fielder? I know Leyland likes to try new things, but I'm doubtful this will work... :P

Wow, the Sox are really playing well right now. Good defense and pitching, hitters fouling off good pitches and working pitchers to death, timely hitting, the entire package. Their coming collapse should be interesting to watch.

I thought the Tigers were just tired. They may have had longer and stranger trips, but this Sunday-Monday thing was taxing. They should be back in form tomorrow night.

The bullpen is performing very poorly at this point in time. The staff has also given up 37 hits in the last two games. Who woulda thunk it? They need a long outing from Verlander, but that's tough to do against these Boston hitters. This is a particularly tough stretch, but they should get back on the beam in a bit.

Hey Dice-K what old man ? lol wait till we collapse ? Better watch out Tigers fans look at what happend to the White Soxs with their pitch and us after we go to the Ws all ur pithcers arms will get tired gl. See u in the post season. RSN
