Tigers gameday
“With his double, Martinez has hit safely in 19 of his past 22 games.”

I thought this series would be ugly. So the guys are proving me wrong, I’ll take that any day. Keep the lead Tigers!

Fun day today. Let’s go for a CG shutout!!!
This is fun too:
check out Joba in 2007!!!
Is that even possible?

This may sound ridiculous to some. And I never imagined the prospect entering the season. But Fulmer could be a Cy Young candidate.

Just amazing how well our catcher is doing today. He’s keeping Fulmer in the game. It is a shame Mc cannot do as much for Sanchez and Pelfrey.

Nice jump. Nice play by Collins for the first out in the 9th.

DD…Thank you a thousand times for getting quantum value from depreciating assets.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Boyd and Fulmer shutouts. Who wooda thunk?

Never thought this would happen.

Man, this was good stuff today and yesterday. I’m already seeing a rotation next year of Fulmer, Boyd, Norris, Verlander, and Zimmerman. To see JV give Fulmer a big hug after the game just made it even better. And how many temas this year shut down the Ranger lineup 18 straight innings. Actually it is more than that because they didn’t score after the fourth inning Friday. Makes me feel proud of our team today. Darline has already alluded to the fact that our “deficient advance metrics” catcher did a tremendous job today, and added some good offense too. We got some excellent play from Tyler in Center Field too. taters from 1,3,4,5 just made it a sweet day. And if Fulmer is not ROY in the AL, something is badly wrong:
1. Michael wore his big boy pants for a complete game shutout.
2. Old Man Cripple Leg Victor keeps on with some timely hitting.
3. A solid defensive game with no mental errors.
Kudos to Michael, Tyler, Julio, Victor, James. Everyone did something that contributed. Good burst of momentum heading home. Wouldn’t you love to see the starting 8 on the field together sometimes befre the year is over—-with Zimmerman throwing a gem. Maybe, just maybe before game 162. And somebody, please beat the Indians. Mr. Fulmer, you made us grin like a possum today. Thanks.

The mighty opossum has 50 teeth. That makes for a fine grin.

Nicely said.

Fernando Fulmer. ROY and Cy Young?

Good outing for Fulmer. Hitting also came thru.

When things go well, not so many comments. When things hit the skids, endless bitching and excuses. I kinda get some of that.

And Dan, you got what you wished for.

Fulmer deserved it and has been absolutely phenomenal. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop but honestly feel he will improve with time.
