Tuesday’s lineups: Tigers vs. Mariners

Mike Aviles gets the start in right field over Steven Moya with lefty James Paxton on the mound for the M’s. Other than that, regular lineup.

Justin Wilson has entered the game 3 times with save opportunity. He blew the save each time

FWIW:
Aviles 8 h in his last 30 AB
Kinsler 10 in his last 50. His K % is a career highest 16.2% ,it was 11.9 % in 2015. His 6.2 BB% is the second lowest.

Upton, K% in June:24.69

That was an entertaining and cleanly played game. First one I’ve thoroughly enjoyed in quite some time, although it’s always fun watching the Detroit infielders. The Paxton kid is good.

It was a winner, that’s for sure. Gotta have a pinch runner ready sooner than that.

Another win is nice to see . JV had his command again . Lets get the win again tomorrow . Big crowd at the ball park .

JV continues his rebirth season with another solid outing; Even the homer pitch was not a meatball; Seager just climbed the stairs and got good wood on the pitch. As Rich has stated above, this was a nice game to watch; well played, good pitching, timely executions; all make for a great win:
1. The DP started by Iggy in the 8th.
2. Solid AB’s by Casty tonight.
3. The Sac Fly AB by JMac;down by 0-2 count against a great arm, he got that insurance run.
Kudos to Cam for the fine defensive play, Aviles for being scrappy, and the team not giving up after falling behnd. Also to Lean Bruce for another good inning. And of course Ian nearly always is a contributor to Tiger wins. Wish Victor could hit on roller skates. The legs just don’t have it in a late game situation. No worse than a split, we need to keep pace with the Tribe. Let’s make it three straight tomorrow.

Aviles got his hammer out and pounded a 60-foot grounder single. I’m happy for the results, but that hit pretty much says it all about his hitting ability. Aviles has turned into the proverbial blind squirrel.

On the other hand, Upton is starting to show REAL production.

So, if Pelfrey and/or Sanchez don’t step it up will that mean the Tigers go deadline hunting?

It sems that Ausmus and Avila are in a different wave lenght.Re:Norris, 6 starters rotation, resting Fulmer .

If they’re going to skip Fulmer, might as well send him to Toledo after tonight’s game.

Seems like the last week of spring training; three starters vying for two rotation slots. It’s there for the taking for Norris and Sanchez.
(how many people are glad Pelfrey isn’t starting against Cleveland?)

Tiger have (3,561,400 Mowery)to sign 7 players including Manning (slot bonus 3,505,800. ) because they overpaid to Funkhouser ( Boras). A 271K excess and they will lose a draft pick in 2017

How high is the draft pick lost? Significant or slap on the wrist?

1rst round for 5% -9,99%
