Wednesday’s lineups: Tigers at Indians

J.D. Martinez, who produced one of two Tigers hits off Corey Kluber in their meeting a couple weeks ago at Comerica Park, is in the lineup, batting in front of Miguel Cabrera, whom Kluber held hitless. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, whose solo homer was the other Detroit hit off Kluber, is on the bench with James McCann back behind the plate.

The forecast calls for a strong chance of light rain throughout the evening, which could mean a long night at the ballpark. Meanwhile, the Cavs play across the street at 8pm, which is likely to draw a lot of attention. Stay tuned.

Pelfrey´s salary is the going rate for a pitcher like him.
They were operating under budget constraint ( until they werent) and that is what 8 MM buy nowadays
His salary can be eaten. They ate 30 MM with Fielder, 14 MM with Sheffield.

Just looked at score glad I’m not home watching this garbage

Just got game on. Another disaster. After last week’s 6-1, now they’ll be 0-2 so far this week. WHAT is going on with KC? The WSox are threatening to run away with it.

With the exception of the 4th inning, Sanchez had a very efficient outing. There remains hope for him.

And Upton made a very nice play on Santana’s ball off the wall.

Gotta get some runs to cross the plate . I also changed to another game .

Snake bitten by the Tribe again. Base running continues to be a disaster. This is getting old. Julio is dying in the two. My radical idea is to try Nick in the two, put Julio back at five, and drop Upton to six. Could not be any worse than what we are seeing. And Anabal has the freak outings. One inning killed him. Kluber beats no one this year but us. What is going on?
1. Pen just keeps on rolling, albeit one inning tonight.
2. Nick hits right handers well! What gives?
3. We had a chance.
No kudos. Please no sweep! Again!!

I was thinking the same thing about Nick at the 2. Or maybe Kinsler at the 2, and iglesias, gose, or maybin (if he ever heals) lead off.

.We haven’t seen Joba Chamberlain yet, have we? The team hasn’t been able
to score or get past their starters….The team needs a heavy hitter in the outfield..
the pitching is coming around.

pitchers is a disaster Pelfrey Verlander Fulmer Sanchez only Zimmermann is decent
