Pelfrey is praying for the Tigers to skip the 5th starter and switch his RS

Victor, 5th in OPS. AL

Nice to see J-UP connect . Gotta keep it up.

Finally Upton? Now for Miggy. No player has to hit big every game but they have enough bats that any player can pick up the slack for a player having a down game.

Williams:
Most batted balls 100 MPH+ this year:
Miguel Cabrera 28
Mookie Betts 28
Springer 27
Ortiz 26

Miguel 440 over last 6: 11 /25

The second spot is the new 5th spot: JD 222 since moved there

Nick Casty is leading the league in BA .363! Wow, let’s hope he can keep this swing for awhile. Another Zimm gem!

It’s getting closer! Red Hot J-UP is not far away. We can sit back and watch a 2 week stretch of human wrecking ball. Of course, the Z-MAN is already a human wrecking ball. Nice pick up Mr. Avila. Whippin’ Boy is now the AL leader in batting, at least for the first month of the season. Three things I didn’t like today:
1. The Twin defense only had to record 16 outs.
2. Julio’s misplay of the fly ball. Granted, the wind was blowing, but as Rod said, he got caught on his heels.
3. Pitching had to be superb because the bats took a nap.
Three things I liked about the game.
1. Even though 40 % of our outs were strikeouts, and we managed less hits than the Twinks, we won the game.
2. We scored three again in the first inning.
3. We are playing with more confidence, passion, and, and determination.
Kudos to Z-MAN, J-UP, Nick, and Victor. A tip of the hat to the Pen Brothers. So much less stress than in the last three seasons.
I’ll eat crow Mr. Pelfrey, if you prove me wrong tomorrow!

What a difference after that Cleveland disaster! Hopefully the Indians’ series was just a fluke.

Another better played game . Nice to see it !!!

Re: Castellanos
“His .333 batting average is buoyed by a .440 batting average on balls in play, which is more than 80 points higher than his career mark and he can be expected to regress.”
“he has already cost the Tigers six runs at third base according to Defensive Runs Saved (DRS), BIS’ comprehensive measurement of player defense. ”
Scott Spratt, Baseball Info solutions at ESPN, backs what I have been saying since week two while his BA skyrocketed
