Lenny Castillo or Kesington for the remaining spot

Parnell must be called up by June 1 or he can opt out

June 1 opt-out applied if Parnell hadn’t been released and re-signed. It does not automatically apply under a new deal. Player/agent must negotiate opt-out into any new minor-league contract.

If not, It is not to easy for the team to discharge but the bonus and the opt out? And still keep the player

McGehee back to the Tigers. Good depth move. But, too bad for McGehee in that he couldn’t find a real job with a position on an MLB roster with some playing time. He seems pretty much blocked on the Tigers unless there is an injury to Nick or Miggy.. I think Nick is ready to produce at 3B. I don’t feel the same way about Parnel. I think with some more rehab time he can find a spot in the BP and will be solid for our Cats.

JD 213 .283 .532 .815 17 SO/4 BB
Upton 273 .385 .500.885 16 SO/8 BB
But I dont see complains about JD but about Upton all the time

Hardy and AW should be healthy and back early in April. The BP, including them looks like K-Rod, Lowe, JW, VerHagen Ryan and Farmer.

The still youthful former Tigers top prospect, Jacob Turner, has been outrighted by Chicago. Hmmm…

No thank you.

It doesn’t sound like both Hardy and AW will start the season on the roster. The replacement options, although presumably for a very short period, don’t look like quality MLB relievers.

That fly hit to LF by Sanchez and misplayed by Upton brought back memories of Delmon.

He also misplayed a ball to short left the inning before. I have heard he is a good defender for years but I have never figured him better than average.
Voelker was impressive. Reminds me a bit of Max. Throws a high fastball that actually rises.

It seems that Kesington takes the last spot in the BP

Kensing makes the roster. It looks like Hardy and/or AW will open on the DL. Kensing in the BP doesn’t do much for me. His track record is pretty unimpressive.

Hopefully, Hardy and AW, the 2 best relievers for the Tigers from last season get healthy soon and this fill-in situation doesn’t become too much of a factor.
