About Miguel,it was a bad call and uncalled for ejection:
“Why? “You’d have to ask Gary that,” Ausmus said. “I’m not exactly sure why he was thrown out at that point because he was heading back to the dugout.”

Even Keith Law thinks he could deserve the MVP

Who deserves the MVP?

Miguel has MVP numbers

VICTOR. ..WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO CONTRIBUTE?

oh BOYD. Can you make these 3 runs hold up? The hitters have a habit of quitting after a great inning like that. KC pitcher needed 38 pitches to get out of it but the KC BP is good.

a pitcher, a pitcher. my horse for a pitcher

This park is perfect for Boyd and his fly balls inducing high pitches

Nah…..just give those runs right back…..honestly

groannnnnn…..can I say take him out right now?

We could sure use Danny Worth right now.

I seriously don’t understand why I continue to watch…..it’s just torture most of the time

Would you believe? He matches the 38 pitches.
.
I sure messed up that Shakespeare quote. Should be a pitcher, a pitcher, my kingdom for a pitcher. I must have been distraught with Boyd. Wonder why?

Boyd gets ahead of hitters can’t put anybody away.

I’d say get him out but what does it matter

They need a 14-13 score to match the day

Well, Boyd’s audition is over, wouldn’t you say? PATHETIC!!

Done
…going to watch something else like Royal Oak public access tv and public hearingschool of city council

.

We just don’t have any pitching!

It is beyond comprehension. Staggering, mind boggling.
Bad news bears.
Boyd worried me B4 but what did they see in a guy who can’t keep the ball down?
Decent fastball but no feel for pitching at all

Bad Enugu Vmart can’t hit but JD is starting to struggle too

A new game

JD 3 for 13 as clean-up this week

Bunting with two outs? who ordered that?

Weird for sure. Not getting that myself.
Broken finger maybe?
Hello Dixon Machado.

JD officially slumping.
He is totally out of sync at the plate.
But I will say this–he has been outstanding in RF this year–actually rod just speaking to that right now.
I do believe he should be a GG candidate

2nd & 3rd nobody out, thumber on the mound and they get zero. Bad News Bears.

Flipped over 2nd & 3rd nobody out and absolutely nothing……….losers

Just like others have said this is hard to watch. Nothing is clicking with this team.

Regarding the speculation on this blog about VMart’s phyical condition…I’m watching the KC feed and here’s something from an unbiased source. Hud felt VMart is still “nursing” his left knee. He said, “It’s sore” as VMart sauntered into third on Nick’s hit.

Only have Gameday here. Would anybody else but Victor have scored on McCann’s fly out to right field? If yes, then Victor is even hurting the team as a runner.

Joe Jimenez: 1 IP 2ks; 15 pitches 12 strikes

Can’t catch a break. It was at least a tie, but too close to overturn. Challenging team has the burden of proof. The system will protect umpires and only reverse obvious wrong calls. And so it continues.

Michigan is getting back into the game with Utah. Blue just scored near the end of the 3rd Quarter. Now down 17-10.

No MVP for Migggy and probably not Trout. It matters a great deal what place the team ends up in.
Donaldson is a front runner,

El T, you didn’t think Miguel protested for too long?

No, and the HP ump neither. It was the guy at third who ejected him

KC has all the kings men with all the kings horses…in place. Tigers have zilch…
Why is Vmart playing? He’s having trouble with hitting, and when he gets on base, he can’t run…very sad. Even the umpiring doesn’t work for them…Like I said once before….there’s a grey cloud following them around. What this team needs is a little sunshine….

Harbaugh Day isn’t working for the Tigers. And now Blue is down 24-10.

Gose, -8 DRS.That is why

Good grief, can anyone on the team pitch?

9 is the officially over number

WAITER,PLEASE!

Leaving my negative comments out again.
1. Casty comes prepared to hit the ball tonight.
2. Came back from 6-3 to tie; alas, didn’t stay that way long.
3. Kinsler never stopping on the challenge play until he crossed home. Had the call been made right, he scores.
Well, one negative comment. At this stage, it would seem to me that embarrassing losses every other night would cause some shame. All I see is going through the motions. Gose had a solid night as well as Collins.
Finally, GK, you keep watching and I keep watching because we’re crazy Tiger Fans.

Kinsler in my mind seems to be playing this season out, maybe harder now than he was earlier in the year

I should have been ejected this game. Can’t catch a break.

Time to root against the teams that prevented the Tigers to reach the postseason. Anyone but the Yankees and KC

What other team would have a pitcher on the staff with over 40 games like Gorzo?
Ausmus probably wants to be fired at this point.
This team is spirit destroying.

Oy, so thankful I was at work.

Greg, it does appear as they are simply going through the motions. If they happen to snag a win it’s a bonus. I am finally in a place where the outcome of the game doesn’t matter to me. No stress…..priceless.
El T, is it ok if I root for the Blue Jays? Have been a David Price fan for years.

That would include just about all the teams El T. I will probably root for the Blue Jays Kate. I still think they’re trying. Not necessarily going through the motions, but it’s got to be extremely difficult to stay focused when nearly all of your pitchers throw batting practice. It’s demoralizing and embarrassing. I cannot believe how awful our pitching staff is. Mr. Magoo could do better. Mr. Magoo was obliviously crafty.

Mr. Magoo, that gave me a laugh. Next time our pitcher is failing miserably I will mentally attach Mr. Magoo’s head to his body.

“Obliviously crafty” wins for Term of the Day and it’s still morning. Well done, Marty.
If you want to know who to root for, consider this: if the Royals don’t win in the postseason they will come back all the hungrier in 2016. You don’t want that. Go Royals. Win, get it over with, and grow old and fat.

I dont care how bad your season is. You are a mlb player and you want to win every games, especially against a first place team, Coaching! As soon as our draft pick pitchers had a bad game we traded them. We were just getting used to our Tigers being in the playoffs every year. Thanks Jason for this blog. I will always be a die hard fan and not a fair weather fan. Funny how I am already thinking about 2016.

The reason the Tigers are failing is simple It’s the pitching. The Team ERA, the Starter ERA and the BP ERA are the worst in the Al. Some of that is due to a lack of talent, some to injuries and some to youngsters being allowed to develop at the MLB level.

Success in 2016 is incumbent upon FAs and/or trades to strengthen the pitching and getting another OFer from within or without. The core talent is there. It wouldn’t hurt for the whole crew to get and stay healthy.

1987. But it is hard to hate this version of the Jays
Im with Houston since Ryan ( despite the no hit) and JR Richards. I really wanted them to beat CWS in 2005.

Back when Ausmus had some credibility he publicly criticized the review syste, For a while it seejmed like it had a corrective effect.
There were two instances last night that show the system is inherently flawed and is rubbing fans’ noses in it.
The Tiger game had the JD ground out that pretty much showed he was safe.
A more blatant example was in the Dodger Padre game where Utley relayed a DP grounder but the 2nd base umpire called the base-runner safe.
It was clearly out. There was some question whether or not it was reviewable (because of the neighbourhood play) but then reviewed. The play was so blatantly mis-called and the base-runner was obviously out, whether you incorporate the neighbourhood play or not, but the ruling was not overturned. (Utley was touching the bag when completing the throw)It was incerdible actually.
The umpire fraternity thumbed their collective noses at baseball fans and players everywhere for everybody to see.

Good luck trying to find the replay though!

Heyman sez BA’s job is in jeopardy.Speculation has it the players have quit playing for him.

A rival unnamed GM believes it will take BA about “8 minutes” to get a new job.

Boras trying to ruins the Mets. Like he did withNats before,he wants Harvey shutdown
