Monday’s lineups: Tigers vs. Reds

Anthony Gose and Rajai Davis flip-flop spots in the batting order. Nick Castellanos returns to the lineup after getting Sunday off, as does James McCann.

The Cincinnati lineup has two former Tigers in it. Neither are Brayan Pena. Eugenio Suarez has taken the bulk of the shortstop duties over the past week since Zack Cosart’s season-ending injury, and Brennan Boesch is starting in left field.

IMO, Castellanos is in the right spot, Gose and Davis are not.

Ditto.

Add lack of fundamenta of fundamentals to his many flawsawsaaa

Heck of a start. Poor kid looked like he really hurt himself.

Sorry to hear that. Why was Gose out from a forceout when he was already at 2nd base?

Rundown.

Villareal….tiger stoppper.

Running into more outs. Villareal tiger killer

Gose is quick but sometimes NOT in the game, And Davis should start and play every game. The team just seems like they play better when he is in.

Can a Tiger get a hit?

We were both both off today and had lunch in Birmingham….saw several reds players but noticed the three former Tigers. And Jack Morris.
.
We were going to go to the game tonight and was sure there would be a lot of rain and didn’t feel like sitting through rain. Oops

Didn’t realize how big Jack Morris is. Very large man.

Miggy……hitting a double hasn’t hit a lot of those this year

Um dare I say or that Anibal has turned the corner.

Another great game. Three good games by Tiger starters and might have been a fourth except the BP didn’t help JV. Now Kyle Ryan.

9th cg/7 shutout. More than MS or Price
meanwhile,Porcello booed at Fenway and threw his glove .

Feel bad for Rick. He didn’t ask to go play in that town.

didn’t he sign an extensiono_O i wonder if they forced him to sign it!

Nice win. Lately the games are much easier on us to watch, too.
My reasoning on the Gose/Davis thing was twofold. 1) Rajai hits terribly in the 9-hole. 2) I don’t believe in hitting a DH 9th because he has to sit around too long at the beginning of the game. Tonight’s game started at 7:08 and Rajai came up for his first AB at 8:01. And that was during a quick game.

wasn’t there a song by moby grape, titled ‘805’? that’s a question for the older folks. Anyhow great game tonight – JD looks Miggesq out there. Sanchez looked terrific today – he now has the consistency of Max circa 2012. I liked the way the bullpen looked tonight, and the way Brad managed it.

1. Loved the peg from JMac; a perfect throw.
2. Nick didn’t embarrass himself tonight.
3. Sanchez has definitely made the necessary adjustment; great performance tonight.
Kudos to Mig and Julio.

Yeah, Porcello did sign an extension before even playing a game in Boston. Good money, perhaps not a good move by either side. I guess his high point at Fenway continues to be taking down Youkilis in 2009.

what an awesome memory!

After his shortened workouts/ST, Miguel leads the AL in avg, OBP and OPS. Second in RBI

Miggy is crushing: Tigers are winning. A corelation that holds true over the whole spectrum.

Since the internet in Missouri is obviously run by a 16 year old boy in his mom’s basement, it’s no wonder we have hacking and online ballot stuffing.
(No he DID’INT say that!)
