Castellanos brother drafted. I guess that means he is going to be here for a while

Okay, I watched some of Sunday’s game with my smartphone while on the ocean, and last night’s game with my tablet hooked to a hotel room TV. Great technology.
It’s good to be home. Or should I keep traveling since things are going so well?

Keep traveling. LOL. j/k

Thanks ump screwed up that strikeout. Should been out of the inning. Imagine that incompetent umps.

I hope we can get just 4 good innings from Greene but I really doubt it. He is eminently hittable

Oh my, I should have known better. Time for minor league stint for Hoody.

4.39 ERA in the minors. Time to get a bus to Toledo

Not the same guy we saw in his first 3 or 4 starts for sure. They just simply don’t have other options I guess

Probably right

Green had 78 IP in MLB. 68 this season. It was high risk gamble and they are losing

Somebody better get a hit.

Won’t be no hit

Big Fella grounding into another double play.61 and Miguel is tops for tiger’s with McCann 1 behind.

Clearly not worth watching. Said quite a bit of that lately.

Bases loaded 1 out and zippo.

Miguel coming through again….oh wait he struck out.

It could be worst. They got Cespedes for the 5.36 of Porcello

And Nesbiit will be with Greene

Nesbitt and now Gorzo.

etc, etc, etc.

Might be time to put the for sale signs up and start restocking.

I said to my wife that Greene needs time in Toledo and added that “everyone online will be saying the same thing.” That was certainly true.
Gorzelanny had success in Washington and Milwaukee pitching long relief and full innings, not as a situational guy.

That homeplate umpire may have gotten that swing/foul tip call correct if he’d been standing at a better angle off the plate while an electronic strike zone called the balls and strikes. Just sayin’.

I’ve run out of words to describe this

“Momentum is only as good as your next day’s pitcher.” This is one of those times when Leyland’s old chestnut rang true.

The pitching with the exception of a few was more than aweful. Hitting well I’m shocked they got 3 other than the first inning they were never in it. Maybe not even then.
Facing a lot of good pitchers in the next week and they don’t hit bad to mediocre pitching let alone Cueto. Should be fun.

I may be wrong on this…and I’ve been wrong over and over …but here goes.
Anthony Gose is not a very good leadoff hitter…RJ Davis is a good lead off player
and delivers quite a bit when he has to….he really plays his a– off….Gose puts
people asleep..just my opinion….ZZZZZ RJ should be playing full time.

Tigers gotta get ready for the Tribe series . Dont take anything for granted .

How can anyone take this team for granted?

It amazes me that some relief pitcher named “Slick Rat” comes in for any team and mows us down. We send out an Angel, a Cheesy guy named Tom, and a Bean Pole from New Mexico, and give back not just the three we had scored, but another three on top of that. Why can’t we have a Slick Rat? In all seriousness, Nesbett and Gorganzola are pretty much done. Both have been horrible in the past two weeks. Why not bring in Wilson and and Hardy. We might have had at least a chance. We simply cannot be consistent more than a couple of games at a time.
Mr. Green Jeans definitely has nothing going right, except for the Hoody. I also believe that Miggy needs prescription glasses; Gose is returning to the standard deviation of normalcy. .255 would be a great year. We can come up with more ways to lose than anybody. When Nesbett gave up the single and walk, he should have been pulled then. Brad always waits one batter too many. A tough game to endure.
1. The JMac catch on the foul. Sorry Alex, he’s awfully good for a young man.

that was a hell of a catch, great effort

2. The Ryan Relief. As good as a Rolaid.
3. The Cespedes Tater.

McCann. One of the few bright spots we have on this club and he will likely be relegated to a backup role even when Alex shows once again that he is never going to hit a lick.
DD will stick with Gorzo because he is his off-season FA “coup”. I don’t think Dave is very good on publicly admitting mistakes.
Nesbitt isn’t ready for prime time and from what I have seen, won’t be. He is simply an ordinary RHP with nothing special.
Castellanos seems to be getting positive reviews from media about his improvement on defense. Heaven only knows why. He is literally afraid of the ball. And one or two hopping throws to Miggy is completely unacceptable for a major league 3rd sacker.
Not sure what the club is going to do with Nick since he looks like an ongoing project.
Totally agree about Anthony and batting leadoff. Switch him up with Jose for a little while. Might take some pressure off of him and at the same time light a fire under Jose, who might need it right about now. Gose is not getting on and when he does he is not Ricky Henderson or Ron LeFlore. What’s the point in leading him off?
Boy can we ever use a surprise on the upside from JV on Saturday.

“Without any fanfare” Gose has quietly gone 3 for 35. It was a big deal when Kinsler did that. Gose is hitting .203 over the last 21 games with a .232 OBP. 5 steal attempts, caught 3 times. There’s no way he should be getting the most ABs in this lineup. 1-2 Iggy/Kinsler or Kinsler/Iggy. Try it.
Davis needs to play more. I’ve said that a lot but it seems that Rajai is held to a higher standard for some reason. Against RH pitchers, Davis hits .243 with .313 OBP. 7 of 8 steals. That is all better than Gose.
