Friday’s lineups: Tigers at Cardinals

Take out the DH slot, move everybody else up, insert the pitcher at the bottom, and it’s a pretty standard lineup for now. J.D. Martinez is back in the outfield after spending Thursday as the DH and taking it easy on his back.

The Cardinals have Mark Reynolds at first base over Matt Adams, giving Shane Greene one less left-handed hitter to face. Jhonny Peralta bats in the cleanup spot for the fifth time in seven games, while Jason Heyward bats eighth for the third time in five games.

Got their 2 obligatory runs…..will they come up with any more?

1st and 3rd nobody out and a giant goose egg. Same old Tigers

Set off the tornado alarm for Miggy!!

Set one off for JD, too!!!

Anybody hear anything
About Greene?
5 IP and due up 1st in the 7th?

Something about a nerve in his elbow. His hand was tingling.

Just got tight again. Ugh. And actually the pen has been pretty good. Ugh

Good thing Tigers are scoring runs. Can Soria save it again?

And, just like that, everyone is hitting again.

Nice win to start the weekend . Tigers bats came alive to get the win. Scoring 10 runs against the red hot Cardinals is great .

1. Answered Cardinal Runs with Tiger runs each time.
2. Gose becoming a true catalyst.
3. Hard to lose when 3-4-5 all have good days.
The best thing about the last two wins is that VMart has truly been able to rest that bum knee. Hope Green’s injury is minimal; don’t like the sounds of numbness anywhere. That bird tasted good tonight.

Brad seemed to think that Greene may have gotten injured during an AB. Put the DH into the NL, call it the Wainwright rule or whatever, but do it. It’s stupid not to.

Amen and Amen!!!!

no no no….you take the DH out of the game entirely

Do you have a reason for that?

Taking the DH out won’t fly in either league unless you expand rosters to 26 maybe.
