well the missing bats from really the last week are still MIA.

Thataway guys. 7 pitches, 3 outs. Gotta hurry. Goin’ to Kansas City, Kansas City here they come.

15 pitches 6 outs including 3 strikeouts. Tiger’s a killer lineup…..my you know what.

Gotta learn how to dial it up against every team.
We were destined to lose yesterday and lucky we didn’t on Monday.
Miggy is going to get serious consideration for a Gold Glove. Seems like he is digging one out of the dirt for his infielders every couple of innings.
Can’t see Hughes getting away with this stuff for too many innings.
Love to see McCann have a good offensive day.

I wonder if Kinsler is wondering the same thing as a lot of Tiger fans—where is the power?
He is playing like a small man yet has established himself as a legitimate power threat over the course of his career.
Somebody needs to tel Castellanos that there is nothing WRONG with pulling the ball. Going the other way is great but not every time especially when you are struggling.

The Tigers better wake up.

Are they really going to lose this series to the Twins? Already down 3-1 after 4 innings.

Nothing like killing a rally. STUPID STUPID STUPID

Too many guys who don’t have the speed to steal. Ridiculous.

I believe it or not have better things to do.

TWINS way >Tigers.
.

That about wraps it for today. Greene looked so good in his first starts but the last two, not so much. Now the BP gets overworked.

Been a long time since I’ve seen that from a Detroit Tiger.

since Austin Jackson in ’12

I agree. Romine shoul start along with McCann. I still think Brad should flip flop Cepesdes and JD in the batting order.

ohmygosh eatmywords…..McCann inside-the-park HR to tie the game. And he’ll sit tomorrow so Avila can bat? Romine 3 hits. Let him play 3B while he is hot.

I was thinking the same thing about flipping Yoenis for JD yesterday.

That McCann HR must have been something. I look forward to seeing it on re-play video.

McCann/Romine = 7 hits, 4 RBI. Is BA just going to ignore that?

It’s hard to ignore McCann. I am so ready to watch the Royals series. Go Tigers!

It would be nice if we could tack on some runs here,

That’s what I’m talking about!

Got your wish. Miggy rocks.

oh oh injury delay. V-mart? Please not.

Not V-Mart. That’s fien.

Good win!!!!

Well, well, well. Let’s hope some of these bats stay awake in KC. Rajai gets a pass today. Just back from a minor injury and he has done so much in the past. Can Victor get it going soon? Maybe he can’t duplicate last year’s performance but anything would help.

This game went topsy turvy. A pitchers battle turned into a slugfest. And the fans went from depressed to ecstatic. That’s just baseball. Gotta love it!l

Soria 9 saves in one month. Do we have a dependable closer? What’s the word on a possible BP addition?

Before the season, ( I posted it)Victor said he would miss the lack of AB during ST. That he, unlike Miguel , needs a lot of rep to get his swing going. Last season, the few games he missed caused an increase in K

1. Down by 4, our guys scored 7 unanswered runs.
2. Good BP work from the middle guys.
3. We beat the Twinks with 8 players; right now VMart doesn’t count; he needs to shut down for a good solid rest.
Kudos to Miggy, JMac, and Romine, especially Andrew; good bat control; hit what the pitcher gave him. This might have been the coming out party for JMac; the changing of the guard is always tough, but in reality, he has as strong an arm as does AA. Good to see Nicky hit the ball better today, as well as Julio and Yoennis. The Kinsler DP was neat; I never realized just how good a defensive player he is; he’s going to uppercut a lot, but he’s also going to save some runs. On to KC. Hope their team doctor prescribed valium for them.

Beto Perdomo asked Mariano Rivera in 2008 :
“If you were the owner of the Yankees, who would be your closer? Someone not named Mariano, of course.”
KRod was pursuin the record , so he wanted to hear that name . To his dissapoinment , the answer was:
Joakim Soria

Taking a break from the TV, I grabbed my phone and earbuds and took a walk during the 4th while listening to the radio broadcast. So…….I blame all that nonsense on Dan and Jim. Rod and Mario would have none of it. Let’s just say I won’t watch that 4th inning on replay.

Nice come back win . Something only a good team can pull off . Lets all hope the bats come alive in Kansas City .

It’s a pretty easy decision realy at catcher. McCann has to play against LHP–that should be a given. As to the rest of the time? Easy-if Alex can’t hit .200 then McCann should play the majority of the games.
Victor is going to be on the DL if they don’t rest him.
Romine is more valuable than Hernan.
Why mess with Cepedes at #6? Maybe it’s good for him–it’s certainly been good for us.
Gose needs to get more reps.

As it stands, McCann has played in 12 games and Avila in 17. Avila has more ABs and a lesser BA, but his OBP is .358 compared to McCann’s .281.

Of those games, Avila started 15 of his 17 appearances at catcher. McCann started all 12 of his appearances at catcher.

what a great win! Kinsler and Jose are a great double play team – I can forgive the lack of power from Kinsler for his defense. VMart will come around, he just needs time and a few days off. Guys on the radio said Miggy was looking a bit off then boots 2 homeruns and a double!

If you were referring to the DP from the game, I think you meant Romine.

I just mean in general they are a great duo up the middle

Gotcha.
