Tuesday’s lineups: Tigers at Twins

The Tigers lineup returns to some normalcy with a right-hander on the mound. Anthony Gose was expected to start this one whether Rajai Davis was available or not. He leads off, Ian Kinsler returns to the two spot, and Jose Iglesias moves down to ninth.

The Twins give Brian Dozier (1-for-17 career against Anibal Sanchez) a night off and move Danny Santana to the leadoff spot. Eduardo Escobar starts at second.

I hope the Tigers running game returns to some normalcy, too. Yesterday had me spitting mad.

Spitting mad, eh? Did you see the Red Wings last night?

Already 1 gidp….might need to start working on a few hit and runs. Ridiculous

And the great defense missing too

Blaine Hardy throws his first pitch in the ground.

Musical pitchers.

Hitting. …………hitting. ……….hitting and it starts with the so called big boys. all but dissappeared after 2nd inning yesterday.

Win the series tomorrow, fellas. Go Tigers!

Who’d they face CY Pelfrey and his 3-hitter over 7 IP? These bats gotta wake up, the cold weather affects both teams.

1. Annabel didn’t walk anyone, and got through seven.
2. Still had a chance to tie or win with 3-4-5 in the ninth; trouble is 3-4-5 was 1 for 12.
3. The Pen wasn’t the downfall tonight.
Kudos to Cespedes for the RBI double, and great catch down the left field foul line.
As weak as a team that they are, the Twinks have righted the ship, and could easily take the series tomorrow. They nickel and dime a pitcher to death. If they can hold teams from scoring tons; they will be in lots of games. Again, our biggest problem is nothing consistent from 3, and nothing at all from 4.

My numbers may be off by one or two, but it appears that the Tigers W-L record in games started by Sanchez since 2012 is 35-32. Things tend to go wrong no matter how well he pitches.

Today:Davis 8, Kinsler 4, Cabrera 3, V. Martinez DH, J. Martinez 9, Cespedes 7, Castellanos 5, McCann 2, Romine 6. Greene starts
