Thursday’s lineups: Tigers vs. Twins

Whether these lineups get any use is in serious question. Brad Ausmus said before the game that they have a chance to get nine innings in. With showers moving in by game time, though, it could be a wait to get there. They’ll probably get a window of dry weather to get started at some point, but will the rain that follows be light enough to play through?

As for the Tigers lineup, it’s the same nine that produced 11 runs Wednesday. The Twins insert Eduardo Escobar in left field and Chris Herrmann behind the plate.

Does BA have a BA in Psychology?
Apparently not.
Why say anything about the closer role being handed back to Nathan when he returns?
Might want to first of all let Soria know you have confidence in him. Instead he says an aging, failing and recovering closer automatically gets his job back?
What if Soria handles the next few weeks like he did spring training?
You still give the job back to Joe?
I thought it was a pretty dumb thing to say. Sometimes it is best to just say nothing at all Brad.

I agree, Dan. We’ll see what happens. How many pitches did Nathan throw Monday?
5-6-7 and some to warm up? Then he has a sore arm?

He already had the sore arm at the end of spring training.

Rain delay already.

Any word on the possible lenght of delay?

in regards to the weather watching…. I’ve been using http://preview.weather.gov/edd/ to determine rain times for my brother in SW michigan (Pullman….NICE AREA!) for the past 20 hours or so. So go there and zoom in on CoPa and you’ll know the rain situation.

Thanks Evan

Theres no end in sight just heard via Twitter from beat reporters going to be called soon.

If today’s game is called, does that mean the starters are bumped back and Lobstein misses his turn?

I wouldn’t thinks so. I would bet they would want the Lobber to throw against the Indians. Probably skip Greene or Simon.

According to Twitter and Bert Blylevin 3:45 start? But I don’t know?

That’s what they just said 3:45. It hasn’t rained where I am in the past 4 hours but that’s about to change soon.

It would be terrific if there was an actual meteorologist involved in all this…..Jason do you know that to be the case or no?

well be back at 3:45…..oh waaaaiiiitt we have no idea what we’re doing – sorry!
.
.
there is clearly no meteorologist on staff….

Any updates on the start time or if the game is called? We’re in Montana and no local channels to check; doesn’t look real good on wunderground though😦

Well worth waiting and another Tigers Win . This season is starting out great even tho the weather has been so-so .
