Are there any fans out there buying the party line about not being worried about Joba because he needs to re-evaluated differently since he thrives on “sdrenalin”
Getting real tired of the silly excuses for our relief pitchers and the bullpen crafted by Dombrowski.

Not buying it. Only hope he proves us wrong.

If you’re Brad and you have to answer that question, what would you say?

I mean, it’s right in front of our faces. It doesn’t matter what anyone says about it. This is a bad situation.

It is actually being spoken about by Jim Price in the booth right now.
IMHO, we need a public response by DD about this bullpen and why he built it this way, why it is a mistake and what is he going to do about it?
Feel good statements, excuses and bull-$hit should not be accepted.
Last year Nathan had a “dead arm”. This year it’s a bloody hand (huh? since when is a thumbnail tear a bloody hand?) And of course the crap about Joba not being able to pitch to potentail unless the adrenaline is flowing. Joba throwing to major league hitters is going to get more than his adrenaline flowing.
Don’t get me wrong there is some clarity in the bullpen.
-We know Soria will be the closer before mid-May
-We know AlAl will pitch 70 innings
-We know they will put Rondon in a role he won’t be able to fulfill either because of performance issues or physical injury
-We know Nathan will insult the Tiger fans again
-We know that there will be better options in Toledo than in Detroit

The Blue Jays would probably take 25% of Nathan’s salary. They could have 5 or 6 rookies in their pen.
BTW, Devon Travis won the 2B job!!
Good for him. He is gonna be a good one.

what did price & dickerson say dan?

Re the bullpen, the one positive is that most clubs have pens shot full of holes.

i care very little how we pitch in april

im an october guy

There is no october without april. A lost game in april counts the same

West, I’m getting old and forgetful but the gist of it was that it was a big problem area. Names were not really bandied about but you could tell Jim is unhappy with it being a concern.

Just read Henning’s latest. Looks like he has joined our choir.
Meanwhile—back at the ranch—more “What Me Worry” attitude from the brave skipper. With a little tweaking he can re-jig this quote, “It’s funny, it never really bothered me when a good pitcher on his last spring start doesn’t have his best outing,” Ausmus said. “It kind of reminds you that this game is not easy. But I am not even the slightest bit worried about it.”, to fit Nathan and Chamberlain too.
He is a good soldier taking the fall for a Dombrowski’s horribly inefficent off-season.
This is not such an incredibly talented team with a lock down rotation that can compensate for another season with a shaky bullpen.
That’s a fack Jack.

It is never his fault, Nathan blames the media for hisown words
