Monday’s lineups: Tigers at Cardinals

Alex Avila and Yoenis Cespedes are back in the Tigers lineup, while Jose Iglesias gets his second consecutive start at shortstop. Look for about 4-5 innings from Avila behind the plate today. David Price, meanwhile, gets pretty close to a regular lineup from the Cardinals to test him.

The game today is on MLB Network back in Detroit, and presumably elsewhere nationally.

Facing a real competitor today—Lackey.

Yoenis running blunder?

I think he was babying his quad.

Jiwan James. If nothing else, he does have a cool name.

Iglesias wont find his rhythm unless he plays every day

we need rhythm or strong shins? I’ll take the later in March.

No contact so far. 1 for 18. He makes Everett look like Ty Cobb

they just a couple of georgia boys!

Perez is earning his spot

He couldn’t hit “jack” last year. Man on Fire this spring.

Been reading about Romine and Perez possibnly both making the 25 man roster.
Egads, the most exciting thing about that would be that one could maybe pinch-hit for the other.
A LHB OFer would be far more advantageous.

aw crap – we forgot to pick up someone for the bench who could hit worth a darn
