Reminder: Tigers early-round playoff tickets on sale today

Just a reminder that tickets for potential Wild Card and Division Series home games go on sale today at noon ET. If you’ve bought these in previous seasons, you know the drill. Tickets are available only online at tigers.com, not by phone or at the box office. There’s a limit of 12 per customer, per game.

Unless something crazy happens, plan on the Tigers having the worse seed if they get to the Division Series, whether they win the AL Central or not. That means hosting Games 3-4 on Oct. 5-6. Game 3 could create another football-baseball doubleheader downtown, as the Lions are hosting the Bills at 1pm that day. Those ALDS matchups are the only postseason games scheduled on a Sunday until the World Series.

just got a text from my sister asking me how many I wanted for round 1 – fingers crossed there is a reason to use them!

be warned: if you purchase a ticket for a game that doesn’t happen, you won’t be getting your money back for several weeks….maybe not until after thanksgiving. at least that’s what has happened to me, my fam and my friends in the recent past.

Read all the comments on the last 2 threads. Ausmus passed the interview but he has not shown me much. I watched the entire game. Why was JD taken out? Donnie has a 2-0 count but hits a weak fly ball to left field? Nathan’s stuff looks soooo hitable. I said on a previous thread that saves are misleading. How many saves does Nathan have that he allowed a run be we had a 2 run lead? Also I mentioned chemistry. No emotion from the manager. I miss Gibby. Go Tigers!

Ausmus has been doing the same for a while, defensive replacement. JD is a pretty RF, suspicious defense in LF( he booted a ball and misread more than one FB)

When we had a 2 run lead

dont’ get it twisted, nathan has only had a handful of dominant innings this year….everything else has been luck or disaster.

Coke has more dominant innings than Nathan.

Okay, let’s not get things twisted. I’m quite certain that Ausmus questions himself all the time; all managers do. His rote response to the question of who closes is what you say in that spot for public consumption. Don’t think for a minute that these things aren’t being discussed. I’m just afraid they’re delaying the inevitable.

Re playoff tickets, I can do Washington and possibly Detroit at Baltimore. Or save my money and watch on TV. 🙂

Maybe Brad is listening to his bench coach too much

Joe West should have been given a bonus for how he handled Papelbonehead.

So…….would we want Papelbon?

He did the same Nathan did, non italian version-. Maybe, he would be better than Nathan but more costly

JL left Valverde well beyond the expiration date.
I take the robot ( maybe he is introverted like many successful people including the 1b )over that nerve wrecking walk from one side to the other of JL with the desperado look ( probably was just the abstention syndrome from cigarette). In the end , it does not have any relation with the job.

Lineup:
Kinsler 2B
Hunter RF
Cabrera 1B
V. Martinez DH
J. Martinez LF
Castellanos 3B
Holaday C
Romine SS
Davis CF
Price P

Jason twitted:”As expected, Verlander, Scherzer and Porcello will start in KC, in that order”

Scherzer in line for the WC game , along with Porcello.Or the opening the Divisional Series.
Scherzer, Price Porcello, Verlander vs Baltimore? All but Price would be available if the Division is decided the last day
