Bases loaded. Kinsler pops up. Ugh. Are they headed for another 9-20 stretch?

Hope not. The bats need to heat up like before the All Star game.

Too many pitches already.

Another mental mistake by Kinler. That why Texas wanted to get rid of him.. He is slumping while fans all over Jackson whom is hitting

Miguel was not stellar there either

The All-Stars are killing this team. When are they coming down off their thrones?

Soon I hope watching them started my headache up again . We were at Saturday nights game got to witness the Nathan melt down .

Hitters not hitting. Max up to 69 pitches. Here comes the bullpen again.

Take him out and burn the bullpen, losing tomorrow. Keep him there until he hits DL and the season is lost?

Porcello was available,So was Smyly

Maybe Max can get thru 6 innings. That would call for the bullpen to go 3 innings. What a mess this is becoming again.

Almost 6 but the same batter got him twice. He leaves as the loser. 2-1. There has been no Tiger hitting and run support. Only 6 runs in 3 games. We’re all waiting for them to snap out of it.

Miggy double. VMart, JMart, Torii MIZERABBLE.

C’mon, Miggy. Do something special.

Scherzer with better job than expected upon hearing about the shoulder. The bullpen holding the game. it is time for the offense

Chalk that to Austin

I’m afraid it’s true, ElTigre.

When he needs to walk ,he cant

How long does the Tiger brass pretend that Joe Blow is no different
than Papa Grande? This is getting very old. They don’t want to go after a closer So that you can keep Nathan and supplant Joba? They want to go after a guy like Benoit so that Joe can remain a closer?
Enough is enough, even for guys like DD. This team will become completely demoralized.

Suarez ended both games

Both times , trying to get on base

0-4 leads to 9-20.

Jason Beck‏@beckjason·8 hrs
Ausmus showing increasing frustration with 1B ump Toby Basner, who will be behind the plate for Game 2 tonight.
Well it turned out to be Mike Everitt, Jason, but he was pretty bad and one sided. Very poor performance back there.

No sense in writing a book here. The entire team has looked bad this weekend.
Big decisions to be made going forward.

I thought I wouldn’t have to put in my 2 cents during the last winning spree…but here we go again…The team management has no imagination….what the hell is Gene Lamont doing there anyway…what service does he provide? Is there anyone out there who knows? The pitching coach is doing a terrible job holding these starters together..also the last group of relievers they brought up has a lot to be desired.
…Has anyone noticed the fire in Victor seems diminished ?….something wrong there…back to the drawing board, Dombrowski. Again, The only reliable relievers
are Chamberland, and Phil Coke….This pitcher Smith was sent down the other day…
the only bad outing was against Cleveland the other day..otherwise he was doing a good job…Harvey should have gone down…The Tigers have no game plan, period.
Miggy seems to be having a good time win or lose. ..he appears to be the good ol’ boy, Maybe he should playing more serious…what happened to his home run production ?

Lamont is there because he was a buddy of Leyland . I often wondered the same thing . Miggy does not appear serious at all . The fans sitting with us in # 140 were super p—–d after the Nathan meltdown on Saturday night . We saw no emotion from the Tigers . Do they care ? Or are they just going thru the motions . The pen has been such a mess and nothing changes .

We all could write books tonight, but I’ll pass also. I’ve always tried to find some good even in losses, but it’s getting foggy. Verhaven didn’t pitch all that badly. He has some potential. In game 2 Ajax’s hitting continues a steady improvement, though he should have caught the double off Indian in the nine spot. Joba is the best out of the pen right now. that’s about all the good. Three final points re tonight’s game:
1. Kinsler is rally killing right now with the uppercut. I knows he’s a streaky hitter, but he’s got to grab some plate discipline for us to compete in the post season.
2. Martinez 1 looks rusty; it’s temporary, but it happened the same time Martinez 2 ran out of magic.
3. Miggy is leading off way too many innings. That’s where the rest of the order has really fallen down. I know we go through this every 20 games, but we won’t survive in Sept. unless corrected.
Nothing more on Nathan. We simply have snorts instead of spitting bottles of water.
Sometimes there is a downright streak of stubborn coming from DD’s office. 39 year old closers don’t throw the ball 95-96 anymore. It’s pretty simple. Reinvent yourself or be laughed out of baseball. If we can salvage one, five and a half is acceptable.

Valverde was NEVER EVER this bad just go look at the numbers. But there is an aweful lot of suckiness to go around on this team right now. Totally disgusted. I said it last night Bums and I’ll add turds!

Bums and turds aside, I thought Joba could have pitched the 9th but I just found out his ankle was acting up.
Kinsler falls into a bad habit of dropping his back shoulder and it renders him pretty much useless at the plate when that’s going on. His swing has enough uppercut in it even when he corrects that.
Nathan has become a huge issue. I think Joba could close but they should acquire a back end guy with closer experience if they finally pull the plug on Joe. I can name two.

Victor is very rusty since coming back from his injury. Actually was hoping he would not be in last night’s lineup. Hope he can get his timing back sooner rather than later. This team was so hot before the AS game and now we are back at square !.

And who’s pitching today? Can they pitch more than 5 or 6 innings?

Smyly, against a LH heavy lineup. we could expect a good outing

Oh my goodness! Impressive article dude! Thanks,
