Friday’s lineups: Tigers vs. Rangers

The Tigers face a righty tonight in Scott Baker, but Brad Ausmus has switched the top of his order around like he normally would do for a lefty. Rajai Davis, who did not play Thursday against Yu Darvish, is 4-for-9 lifetime off Scott Baker. He leads off, moving Ian Kinsler to second and Torii Hunter down to fifth.

Go, Tigers!!!!!!!

This is the lineup I like. I think it can just do more things over the course of a game.

I agree with you. If anything Brad can change the bottom once in a while.

Joba or Al2?

MLB.tv game of the day for those outside the FSN area. Very happy for Kinsler and Romine, so far!

“Almost” felt like I was at the game. It was that much fun to watch!

Lot of interesting things. Romine’s team-mates (and his) reactions. I hope Rios threw the ball in.
Avila being shaken off 3 times (calling for a fastball) only to relent and give the slider while shaking his head.
AlAl blowing Moreland away on a fastball!!
Infield play was superb.
Anibal is the smartst and most skilled pure pitcher on this team.
Not sure why Ausmus would not have thrown Knebel with a 5 run lead and some RHB coming up. They worry about the arms in the pen and he throws AlAl and Krol?
Seemed to have been the perfect time to use Knebel. Will give Ausmus the benefit of doubt on this as the guy just seems to have things pretty well thought through.
Torii had two of the luckiest RBIs he will ever get today. He was up with man on 3rd and 1 out 3 times and had some pretty bad swings.
Are we going to see Mr. Streaky tomorrow?
No challenges—-nice.

thought knebel should have pitched, maybe krol needed work or to work something out

Just returned from the game. A lot more fun today eh? Boy on that second inning when Sanchez gave up those 2 runs I thought here we go again! Thank God someone finally stepped up with the starters.

Looks like the team we had last week . Clean up on the wounded Rangers before they head west . Looks like perfect baseball weather in the Motor City.

One if the first games I wasn’t freezing my tail off.

Perhaps Brad didn’t want to mess around with ending that losing streak there in the 9th. They could do a Chance Ruffin and throw Knebel in there with the bases loaded and none out. Leyland: “Go get ’em, kid.” 🙂
Who is Mr. Streaky?
Well played game tonight, crisp and brief. Sanchez is our best starter.

Austin. He’s pretty streaky. Probably the reason he would never be a .300 hitter.
But when he is hitting he hits the ball hard.
Castellanos doing a bit better but still has the big uppercut that is costing him hits.

Austin showed one the easiest swing I have seen in a while. Said that , he is 6 for 13 vs Baker

1. Rangers get only two hits after the second.
2. We match the Ranger runs in the bottom of the 2nd., and then add runs in 4 more innings.
3. We put the ball in play 25 times; only one player fails to do so. Sorry Alex!

Kudos to Anabel, Ian, Austin, and even Andrew. AlbuKrol did well too! A new Streak?
Hope so!

Greg

Lineup vs. TEX: Kinsler 4, Hunter 9, Cabrera 3, V. Martinez DH, Jackson 8, Avila 2, Castellanos 5, Romine 6, Davis 7. Porcello starting.
