Game 4 lineups: Tigers vs. Athletics

It’s the same lineup as yesterday. For all the speculation about whether Jhonny Peralta would start at shortstop, this is NOT the game to do it, not behind Doug Fister. He owns the fourth-highest groundball-flyball ratio in the league.

All the numbers off Straily are from August except for Torii Hunter, who faced him before that with the Angels.

TIGERS (numbers off Dan Straily)

  1. Austin Jackson, CF (0-for-3, 2 K’s)
  2. Torii Hunter, RF (7-for-10, 3 HR, 3 K’s)
  3. Miguel Cabrera, 3B (1-for-3, K)
  4. Prince Fielder, 1B (0-for-3, K)
  5. Victor Martinez, DH (2-for-3)
  6. Jhonny Peralta, LF
  7. Alex Avila, C (1-for-3)
  8. Omar Infante, 2B (1-for-2, walk)
  9. Jose Iglesias, SS (0-for-1, walk)

P: Doug Fister

ATHLETICS (numbers off Doug Fister)

  1. Coco Crisp, CF (7-for-19, 2 K’s)
  2. Josh Donaldson, 3B (3-for-4, walk)
  3. Jed Lowrie, SS (4-for-12, K)
  4. Brandon Moss, 1B (3-for-5, 2 K’s)
  5. Yoenis Cespedes, LF (3-for-6)
  6. Seth Smith, DH (0-for-4, walk, K)
  7. Josh Reddick, RF (1-for-9, 5 K’s)
  8. Stephen Vogt, C
  9. Eric Sogard, 2B (2-for-8, 3 K’s)

P: Dan Straily

Why is Pena the forgotten Tiger this series? He hit much better than Avila all year?

Very creative JL.

Torii has Seth Smith-like nubers against Straily. Wanna bet he doesn’t get pitched to by Straily in the 6th?

What is Prince so happy about? He looks awful.
This team right now is absolutely pathetic. They have themselves psyched out.
There is no hope for a team like this.
They should be embarrassed.

no queremos ver mas a benoit cerrando los partidos , de dos dos c…….
