Braun was suspended,.

Kind of plea of guilty

Plea bargain

He apologized. Big deal.

4 games, 3 LHP. Not a good formula based on past performances vs LHP.

WOW @ Braun suspension!! And yes, the lefties await us — a good team would take it as a challenge. stay tuned!

MLB Suspends Ryan Braun For Remainder Of Season

Made my day. This guy has made a mockery out of the game of baseball.

dan who made a worse mockery: Braun or Manny?

Alex hit .455 against Danks in 2011 . That might get him a start. Perez needs a couple of hits before that third game to get the start in game 3. What has Dirks done against Santiago in the past?? I think with the potential to face five LH starters in six games you will see our manager tinkering with the line up.

ANDY vs Santiago? in 4PAs he got 1 walk, 2 hits (1 HR) and 0K’s

Hernan looks so young.

Dan & Jim wondering why Austin doesn’t try and bunt more often.

Lots of Tiger fans at the game according to D & J. You can hear them on the radio feed.

Victor, Victor. 2 run single.

Miggy looks like he’s in pain..

Yup, there’s Kevin Rand talking with him.

Donnie Kelly batting 3rd.

Chicago broadcaster talking about “sport hernia”?

Just got home what did you guys do to Miggy?

Injured: leg, hip, , back. Every source says something different

Oh boy

He needs rest.
2E or Kelly , the next days

Pulled hamstring according to most reliable sources.
Playing 3B is not for that body is the consensus here to explain it.

“#Tigers Cabrera left with sore left hip flexor” Gage.
Sorry, but twitter is full of contradictory informations.

day to day

He had it before the ASG according to Schmel. Then why he played?

No he didn’t. it was his back and hip. Hip flextor is in the front near the groin.

James Schmehl |
It’s a sore left hip flexor muscle for Cabrera — the same issue he mentioned to a few of us over the All-Star break.

Probably needs the DL I’d be very careful with him. Other guys have to step up.

God I hope not. Yes careful I just hope it’s not that long.

He’s been playing hurt for awhile. Better safe (DL) than sorry. I hope it’s not too late.

In 11 seasons, never in DL.

Whatever it is its been bugging him for a bit.
Scathing article on ESPN regarding Braun..

Danny Knobler says they are not fooling around this time and more suspensions to come.

Max pitched well tonight, VMart is on fire, Torii been showing much more power than i thought he had. Rondon is growing. JL is managing the bullpen in a sensible manner. 10 games over .500 but only a few games in front of CLE. They will make moves – we had better as well. Prince with an RBI – can he step it up with Cabby on the DL? ABSOLUTELY!!!

in fact, it might be just the thing to snap ole’ prince back into superstar form. Vmart to protect him, torii stroke’n! Maybe AJ steps up with cabby out – then cabby comes back without missing a step. hopes and dreams!

hip flexer says jim. wait and see.

Miggy being hurt might present a relatively serious problem for JL. Miggy will not be too inclined to take time off and JL cannot afford to let his star play injured. as much as I hate to say it if it prevents Miggy from exacerbating the issue a stint on the DL might be considered.
Too bad Castellanos has not played any 3rd this year!.
I would think DK is probably the best guy to fill in for him, at least defensively. I do realize 2E and Santiago can play there.
Hopefully this is simply a discomfort and a day-to-day predicament.

Gosh, we looked good tonight!

Suggestion for Rondon.
What a fastball. It may not move much (it doesn’t have time to move!) and hitters are hitting it when they feel it is coming. As I see it he needs to throw it high and tight not down or away.

Evan, I guess you can take your pick.

ok i pick manny. but they are both boras to me.

Braun is worse. He threw others under the bus and caused people to lose their jobs.

good point – albeit they probably got fired for not doing their jobs properly, no?

in his own words:
“It is the same thing that’s been bothering me in recent weeks, but today the pain reached the part of the abdomen and I preferred to leave the game as a precaution to avoid continuing hurting my self “, said Cabrera.
“I felt 100 per cent today. I did treatment, “stretched”( NT:he used a spanglish term) well in ‘weight room’, I did all my routine, my warm-up and, well, it happened on that play when I scored from second. I don’t want that getting worse”, said the Venezuelan.
“God willing, I can play tomorrow. I will go under treatment today at the hotel and will come here early tomorrow to see if I can be ready for the game,”said Cabrera,

How about Dorn for Oliver Perez? Or Collins. Throw in Worth and send us Ryan.

could we sign FA Alexander Guerrero?

Idon’t know, it seems to me the Tigers don’t seem to be interested in the newer Cuban players. Don’t know much about Guerrero.

From trade rumors:
One more note from Crasnick, who tweets that the Braves also checked in on Phil Coke in their quest for lefty relief help, but nothing came of the talks with the Tigers. Coke has had a brutal season because of overexposure against right-handed hitters, but he’s held lefties to a .231/.271/.346 batting line.
