Sunday’s lineups: Tigers at Astros

As expected, Jhonny Peralta and Torii Hunter get the day off. Interestingly, so does catcher Alex Avila. Reports from Houston say Avila is under the weather.

Interesting note: Every Tiger who has faced Philip Humber has at least one hit off of him. Don Kelly doesn’t, but he has never faced him. Combined, the Tigers are 13-for-41 lifetime against Humber from his time with the White Sox.

By contrast, the few Astros who have faced Justin Verlander are 8-for-36 combined against him with 13 strikeouts.

  1. Austin Jackson, CF (1-for-4, walk, 2 K’s off Humber)
  2. Andy Dirks, LF (1-for-4, double, K off Humber)
