Let’s get some hits! How about 2 HR for V-Mart and an RBI 2B up the alley for Avila!

with great pitching, and a win!

I hope Valverde and/or Rondon get into the game tonight and pitch well.

I do as well. What I don’t want is for a few idiot fans to boo Jose. Stay classy fans.

I also hope they start to hit”………last several games highly disappointing.

Royal line up sets up well for our lefty relievers. First, let’s get some hits. How about five or six in one inning?? Go from the top. AJ!! Go tigers!!!

Boy did AJ get robbed!

Babip, that was a hit

And now Victor was robbed!

In the middle without malice and the defense helping him

And now Max is being dunked and dribbled. Defense?

Realign doubting our offense can do anything right now? Hoping but doubting.

it was easy to hit, Escobar had no problem to put the ball with his hands where he wanted

There’s the Victor I know and love.

So nice to see the big hit from Victor!

And the slump is over

???

If your talking about how it wasn’t a god idea to send him….then ya bad idea. Now I think Prince might of been able to score on Victors double? What’s ya think?

I didn’t see that play, but the Royals have awsome gold-glove type OF’ers. How can Victor possible score on a single from 2nd base? Really, he probably should have ignored the wave sign and stopped at 3rd. Defiance, I know.

With Francouer there,he was a DOA. He is the same that got Jhonny last year.

And Andy Dirks is a problem.

Good, gawd. How can Brookins not know about Francour’s arm?

We got two back. Now put a zero up on the board.

Couple of things. Really glad to see V-Mart and Lloyd working on his balance. It was so off, it was obvious from the stands last weekend. Also, Brookens is so aggressive with runners he is almost reckless.

I just don’t understand how he could send him. We all know Victor is slow and Francour is not someone to take lightly. Even a speedster (not many of them on our team) would have made it a very close play.

Nice Victor!

3 more for 250

Well even though we are ahead we were given breaks (that we did take advantage of) we had some managerial errors (Brookens included) JL should have bunted with AJ. Pure and simple. AJ has been struggling and bunting helps. The situation surely called for it. The manager got away with it thanks to his players.

BTW: Avila extended the inning enough for most of the runs

Max sat for a long long time.

This is just great…….. Walks and I don’t know what that was with Peralta and not getting even one out! Geez.

he was looking for Infante at the base but him was covering his back.

There is no thinking in play in baseball, He needs to be ready for a fast runner

He better ends this or JL will call Rondon

Need a double play ball!

Just an observation, but it looks like Avila is not setting so tall. Maybe he will miss some of those fouls and handle pitches in the dirt a liitle better.

It was low, but I take it

Enough for Max. Anyone warmed up??

Smyly and Rondon warming up earlier.

Interesting….
.
Miracle to get out of that with only one run.

I’d like to say unbelievable wasting a lead off triple, but is it really? Frustrating!

I am a JL loyalist, but it is situations like this where I would like to see more small ball. The earlier situation with Jackson was another opportunity for small ball.

What’s the temp at the park??

About 40

Don’t know if Dirks has options left but he won’t last much longer. Bad at bats and at the worst times

3 according to patrick

Why two innings with a full, rested bullpen?

Do we have a lefty warming up??

yes, Coke

Sure looks like AA might be hurt?

What just happened? ALBQ seemed to suddenly lose velocity and control. Is he hurt?

He said no when asked by JL and Rand

THE PEN…Has order been restored? “Light a candle.”

took the “words” right out: of my mouth, Richard :-)

Well, they are your words and I resultantly put them in quotations. I think it is a funny commentary. So thanx for the chuckles.

Here we go come on Jose!

I hope he’s good.

Way to go Jose……..welcome back home!

VV looked good. He will keep the fans on edge, but LET’S DANCE. I appreciate him so much more after his absence.

As a side note, I know about things like that because I appreciated and still appreciate the absence of my ex so much.

Jose did look good. All fastballs and from the wind up. Fun game to watch but it is still frustrating to see the runner stranded at 3rd with less than 2 outs. Leyland is so stubborn not to bunt Jackson. Austin should be trying to bunt even if he did not get the sign. Great win. Go Tigers!

didn’t see any of those splitters DD promised me but i’ll trust DD that they are coming. very happy i didn’t hear many boos tonight.

Maybe the lack of sunlight, but everyone on the field looked colder than they did in Minnesota. Several pitchers started an inning throwing strikes then lost it midway through.
Good to see Victor get his problem straightened out. Valverde with the full windup was odd looking.
Warmer by the weekend. I’m feeling badly for you guys up there. This ain’t right.

Amen…I know if you had seen V-Mart in person last weekend you would have seen how unbalanced he was, which is why I commented about it a few times. Couple of interesting takes today by Rod with video concerning corrections with Lloyd as well general comments about how off V-Mart has been. Hopefully, the big guy is back. I just eat this stuff up!

First, is AlAl okay?? Too cold a night to have two guys getting bonus outs for the skipper. Dotel was a marked injury. Was Villarreal?? Could we have another??

Winning sure beats the alternative. And our guys do seem more relaxed that most teams at home. We need tomorrow’s game too, but let’s savor the moment of the win tonight. Three things impressed me about tonight’s game:
1. The Scherzer toss to Avila in the KC fourth with bases loaded and no outs. Tough play on both ends, but it slowed down the KC momentum just enough to escape.
2. Infante’s clutch hitting from the 9 hole. He really came through tonight; this was extremely critical in lieu of Ajax going through the grinds right now.
3. Four innings of strong Bullpen. The weather must have really bothered both Max and Davis. The BP, including the “clown”, did a great job.

Kudos also to VMart, Miggy, Biggy, and Jhonny. Dirks seems lost; I agree his time is numbered if he doesn’t get it going. Avila also garnered a couple of walks. Ajax is pressing; he’s got to relax again. All in all, a nice win. Good night all.

Don’t get carried away. Jose is throwing hard but no splitters and he really needs to keep the ball consistently low.
Rondon is the tipping point for our ball club.
