Tigers telecast will be joined in progress tonight

For the second time in six days, Fox Sports Detroit has Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings games all on the same night. But unlike Friday, when the Pistons game ended just in time for FS Detroit to switch to the Tigers broadcast, there’s a decent chance all three games will be going on at the same time for a stretch. With the Tigers starting last, that means tonight’s game against the Mariners will be joined in progress once the Pistons game is done.

The Pistons face the Brooklyn Nets starting at 8pm ET. Barring a really quick game, it won’t be finished by the time Felix Hernandez throws his first pitch tonight around 10:10pm ET. Once the Pistons game is over, FS Detroit will switch over to the Tigers game in progress.

Normally, there’s the FS Detroit Plus channel for such overlaps, but that’s where viewers will be watching the Red Wings face Calgary starting at 9:30pm.

For those viewers outside of Michigan and Northwest Ohio, the game will be available online at MLB.TV. Because FS Detroit is picking up the game live at some point, I don’t believe the blackout rules change for those viewers in Detroit’s market.

The villagers have torches and pitchforks and are storming FSD. 🙂

Aw man cant they just blackout the pistons. There not playing for anything. Dont get me wrong i love and root for all my home teams but id much rather see the tigers. Oh well i guess.

Who in the heck watches the Pistons?

i’m looking forward to all three games tonight. I follow detroit sports regardless of how they are doing. I had (tigers) season tickets in 2003 and 2004.

anyone care to comment on the whole brandon inge/mudhens fan incident? Shameful and stupid. I hope brandon doesn’t think all tiger’s fans are like that by any means!

Guess I’m not in the loop on that. You got a link I can go to?

“Jim Leyland told us he doesn’t think the Tigers will be able to solve the closers problem via trade rather need to do it internally #Benoit”

Thanks for the link, ElTigre. I meant to direct that request to Evan, but messed up the reply box. Re this guy in the story, some people just have to be the center of attention and can’t grasp their place on a planet of 7+ billion people. Sad.

Your welcome

On closers, I don’t even know who we’d trade for, you know? There aren’t that many good ones, and I don’t think Atlanta is going to trade Kimbrell.

One of the gutsiest plays I have ever seen. Pena stood in there knowing he was going to get hit by a freight train. The throw lead him into a collision.
We were fortunate the throw wasn’t more up that line. Fielder had the right idea on throwing to the 3rd base side of the plate–almost a little too much though.
Boy will Prince snap out of it today?

Excellent, what a website it is! This blog gives useful facts to us, keep it up.
