Monday: Tigers vs. Astros

At least Quite a few scouts are here getting a look at Rick Porcello, who will face a team other than the Braves for the first time this spring. He’ll get a pretty representative squad as the Astros go. Meanwhile, with an off-day coming tomorrow, the Tigers are playing many of their regulars still in camp aside from Victor Martinez, who is expected back in the lineup Wednesday.

Porcello looked really good today. If you get blown away by an offer, then I guess you should trade him. But a 24 year old quality starter should NOT be given away. I prefer keeing him.

Finally got to see Rondon pitch. It was nice to see him have a swing and miss on the batter for the 3rd out. Dan, now what is with Villareall not holding the base runners on?

One of the reasons he probably wouldn’t make a good closer. AlAl at least has presence of mind.
