Monday: Tigers at Phillies

As expected, Victor Martinez is back in the lineup, this time at first base with Prince Fielder off. Jim Leyland was talking about giving one of the extra catchers in camp the start at DH, but went instead with Jeff Kobernus, giving him a test against the kind of lefty they want him to play against (Cliff Lee).

Reminder: Today’s game is live on MLB Network beginning at 1 p.m. ET.

I have two tickets to Saturday’s Tigers-Yankees game in Tampa and I don’t need them. They’re FREE to anyone who wants them. If you’re down here in Florida and can hook up with me on Tuesday in Kissimmee or Wednesday in Lakeland, they’re yours.

delmon young batting third. Interesting!

my bad- not delmon, micheal rather

Delmon will begin in DL as long as I know

wwooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwww @ cabby’s HR

We know what Cabby can do and that was monster shot for sure—but, I was really impressed with Castellanos’ shot. The impressive thing was that it was a hit & run and he waited and hit the ball to the right side, actually it travelled quite far to the right side but the thing is he did his job on that pitch.
