Sunday: Tigers vs. Phillies

With back-to-back road games coming up, the Tigers will keep their regulars together one more day for a meeting with Roy Halladay. The only change is Danny Worth giving Jhonny Peralta. Leyland said yesterday he would have started Ramon Santiago in that spot if not for the calf injury.

The game is on the radio in Detroit on 97.1 FM in Detroit and online at MLB Gameday Audio.

I would like to see them vs a LH starter

got a chance to watch the game from yesterday…a couple notes:
a) Johnny peralta and prince fielder look a lot slimmer.
b) some of rondon’s pitches weren’t very close to the plate
c) those home runs by PF and MC were BOMBS!

Evan–I was thinking the same thing about Prince. I didn’t really notice JP. Sounds like he made a very good “rangy” play that 1st game against the Braves though.

I noticed Prince was slimmer during Tigerfest. His waist is slimmer and he looks like he’s tightened up. No fat flopping around.

“Scherzer (arm soreness) finally threw a live BP session this morning. Leyland said he looked terrific. He’s tentatively set to pitch March 2”

Found at MLive

arm soreness from What?

Jhonny has a calf injury. I guess I missed that one. Watched the game last night until Rondon was done and then nodded off. Those homers were monsters!

so i’m looking for more details on jhonny having an injury and I came across this….very very funny (joel peralta hurt himself on a sandwhich and isn’t going to play in the WBC, apparently)

I think Kobernus is going to make some decisions difficult for JL and DD. He hung in there pretty tough and actually put a good swing on against Ortiz, who can be tricky with 2 strikes.

“Detroit Tigers’ Andy Dirks sidelined with intercostal strain; Ramon Santiago likely ‘out a while'”
No more information about Max

That is way I dont like diving .Better play safe giving the single

i’m starting to understand why JL and DD didn’t think dirks could be the full time LF.
Vmart looking good tho!

But Lobstein does not want the spot
