World Series tickets go on sale Wednesday

By now, you know the deal: The Tigers and other Major League teams sell tickets for the next playoff round early. With a 2-0 lead in the ALCS and Justin Verlander on the mound tonight trying to give them a 3-0 advantage, though, the timing seems fitting to put World Series tickets on sale.

Tickets for potential Tigers home games in the Fall Classic go on sale Wednesday morning at 10am ET. As with tickets for the other two postseason rounds, they’ll be sold online at tigers.com and by phone at 866-66-TIGER.

Unlike when ALCS tickets went on sale last week, we know what days the Tigers would be at home for the World Series. Since the National League won the All-Star Game, the NL champion has home-field advantage. The American League champion, whether it’s the Tigers or Yankees, will host Games 3-5, scheduled for Saturday-Monday, Oct. 27-29.

Ticket sales will be limited to four tickets to one game, per buyer.

Off Topic I know but I did notice that Castellanos was getting his playing time in LF.
I like Garcia in RF becasue of his arm but we have always needed a speed merchant to patrol LF in Comerica. It will be interesting to see what happens next year.
I would suspect Garcia will make the squad and that NC will pay some more dues at Toledo.

Who else do we have in the Fall Instructional League??

Good thoughts Dan. What about Dirks? Funny how we don’ t miss Boesch. I hope delmon comes thru . Go Tigers!

Might miss Boesch tonight, 6 for 11 off Hughes!

Delmon is a necessary force for us. What I do like about his situation is that what he does now will really showcase his wars for free agency. That can directly benefit us.
Dirks will be the LHB OFer next year. I love Boesch. I really do, but I think his limitations have become evident and I am sure he is teachable in the sense of accepting criticscm. I see him being packaged up in a deal. Hopefully for (I shudder to hear the response) an all around lightning fast, slick, on base type shortstop.
I am ecstatic over how JP has played in the post-season so far. Don’t get me wrong.
I just know we need more range, more steals and OBP next year for our pitching staff.

I get a kick out of the Valverde reading. They are trying to spin this as having to do with the slowness of his delivery. And that he could pitch if Leyland is happy with the “tweaking” they have done there..
That may or may not be “A” problem but I am sure it is not “THE” problem.
Jose a multitude of deficiencies that conspire against him at this stage.
JL has every right and, I guess, obligation to use him, but only with prudence not prejudice.

I couldn’t resist commenting. Perfectly written!
