Tuesday’s lineups: Tigers vs. Blue Jays

Ricky Romero is 0-9 with a 7.62 ERA in his last 10 starts, with opponents hitting .307 off him in that stretch. Left-handed hitters are actually batting for a higher average (.293) against him this year than righties (.245). If there’s a lefty the Tigers should be able to rough up, he’s the guy. The Tigers will use their righty-loaded lineup against him and bat Andy Dirks eighth.

  3. Miguel Cabrera, 3B
  4. Prince Fielder, 1B
  5. Jhonny Peralta, SS
  6. Delmon Young, DH
  7. Jeff Baker, RF
  8. Andy Dirks, LF
  9. Gerald Laird, C

  2. Colby Rasumus, CF
  3. Edwin Encarnacion, DH

great lineup!

Laird is in and that is a good thing.

I see it’s Joe Sparma day. Do you repeat these if we win the game? It would be better than not changing underwear during a win streak.

Lineup should be….

Austin Jackson, CF
Omar Infante, 2B
Miguel Cabrera, 3B
Prince Fielder, 1B
Jhonny Peralta, SS
Andy Dirks, LF
Gerald Laird, C
Jeff Baker RF
Delmon Young DH

Looks like the off day gave many of our local media an opportunity to figure out what’s wrong with the Tigers’ offense. Some of them include mind numbing statistics which prove what we see with our own eyes, so it’s good to know we’re not suffering from visual hallucinations. One guy came to the conclusion that the offense is not put together well. I’d agree with that, and it’s what you get when creating a team for a manager that’s stuck in the steroid era while playing in one of the biggest ballparks in baseball. Go Tigers.

Pitching, defense, speed, timely hitting. We have better pitching than the White Sox. Isn’t that why we took over 1st place a few weeks ago? I am not giving up! We can win this division and if we do, JL can come back for another year. If not…………Go Tigers! –Dave

Fister has a groin issue. FYI

Tom Gage‏@Tom_Gage

#Tigers Fister with groin issue – could threaten next scheduled start

Feel free to push the panic button.

seriously tho – if a fister injury doesn’t light a fire underneath anyones buns…….

Doesn’t matter who’s pitching for the other team, or who’s hitting for ours! Either they’ll show up or they won’t, there is no rhyme or reason!

Will we win the AL Central?? Absolutely. Thirteen series to go/25% of our schedule.
Time to dig in every day and try to get a win. Get tough. Go Tigers!!!!!!!!

Geez didn’t really make Romero pay for that poor first inning?
