What we now need is one collective rubbishing of this lineup.
Looks like an intentional no hitter to me from the bottom of the order.
Hopefully this will bring a turnaround and is as good as anything being tried at the moment.

Colon will be throwing fastballs in the strike zone. That is what he does. Jackson had 4 Ks against him last year. Let’s see how he does this year .

This will be a tough series for our hitters as we will face two young pitchers, Parker and Millone, who have come to Oakland in trades this winter. They will have an advantage when they pitch. We can count on seeing more of them over the next few years. If we can get a split here and take two from the Sox on the way back home this will turn into a successful road trip. Go Tigers.

To Detroit Pitchers: Warning!!! Never ever fall behind B. Inge when their are runners in scoring position. He is 5 for 16 with 3 hrs and 9 rbis!!!!!

After 5 innings Tigers lead 10-2. Miggy with 4 hits. Oh, how they could have used just one of those in a past game. BUt that’s baseball. Let’s hope this is a turn-around for the hitters.
