Thanks Rich for the Jeter call. I was at our cottage working outside and listening to Dan and Jim off and on. DOK, yes, let’s see where we are at after 40 games.

We have lots of guys playing tonight with good memories of batting against Luke.
Let’s breakout of the slump and win!!!!! Relax Duane we just need five innings.

May be tough to play tonight, radar looks like we may have some postponement

I taped the game yesterday, and really do believe that it was one of the worst “hose” job’s I’ve ever seen from an ump. Hey, Max had his problems, but that strike zone was microscopic. He deserved better!
Greg

I sure have heard a lot here about the umps. Often bias or whatever else you prefer to call it, is suggested by fans and media in these major markets. Do these games get reviewed by senior staff?

Damaso Blanco, Giants 60´s , likes to tell the anecdote of a rookie pitcher that throw a perfect strike in the corner to Ted William. The ump called it ball. The catcher asked him , what?. The ump answered : if Ted Willimas didn not make swing it was no strike.
Jordan´s rules are part of baseball too.

rain out?

I think (could be wrong) that all games are reviewed. One thing about this weekend; that was Joe West’s crew, and usually not a real good one, even though they switch it up. Country Joe did toss Girardi Friday night. Nobody seemed very happy with the umpiring. Friday night with Joe behind the plate, I quit trying to figure out what was a strike. He seemed to be calling them by mood.
For a time there, Joe West and Angel Hernandez were on the same crew. Remember last year in Anaheim?

i predict a 8:15pm start tonight fyi

yea now i am thinking it will be 9pm or postponed. probably postponed.

Since Jones is with the team , what would be the point of sending him to Toledo. And yesterday,it was not his fault.
DBacks traded him because they feared his mechanichs will break his arm soon or later.Probably is not that bad but could be still something wrong with it

The radar does not look good

Took the dog for a walk about 10 am under a nice, sunny sky. By 11, it started to rain and hasn’t stopped.

It’s a shame the good folks of Britton did not get to see Duane pitch.
