Ladies and gentlemen your 2012 opening day roster. Let’s see how we do with our ducks in a row during the early innings today. Let’s go Tigers!

might be. might be.

Jon Lester could be the starter for Boston. So we could see someone else in the place of Dirks. And perhaps someone else in the second spot

Boesch and Dirks are actually very high average against lefties. Both of the boys have pop. Do you think since its Lester should we sit Avila and Fielder too? I’d take my chances with the SOC’s lineup today.

Boesch hit better against lefties than against righties. But JL does not buy it. Last year he used him mainly against RHPs.
Remenber he is old school. R Vs L . And against LHPs during the season he will use Laird, Raburn, Inge. He did that last year and he wont change.
He did not sit Avila because there was no backup. And it came to haunt them in october.

He used Boesch 6th. Raburn, 2nd and Avila 8th with Inge in 7th against LHPs.And Boesch and Avila were batting over 300 while the RHBs were ,well you know how much they were batting
