Wednesday: Tigers vs. Braves

The Braves are back in town, but as of Wednesday morning, the wind is blowing right to left. And the young starters pitching today are on the Tigers side, with Jacob Turner and Andy Oliver piggybacking. Brandon Beachy, who looked really good against the Tigers last spring, starts for Atlanta, which brings a few more regulars on the trip.

In general, the players who made the trip to Jupiter yesterday aren’t in the lineup today. The notable exception is Prince Fielder, who is the DH today. The rest are here, but they’ll probably get a short day and go home early.

Clete Thomas, who watched the wind hook a fly ball from left-center all the way to right-center on Sunday to set up a Braves run, is back in center today.
