Tuesday: Tigers at Indians

Don Kelly gets the start at third base against Fausto Carmona. No real history between the two (0-for-2), but plenty of history between Carmona and Wilson Betemit (2-for-13) and Brandon Inge (6-for-29, 6 K’s).

On the Tribe side, Jason Kipnis returns to the lineup just in time to load up the lineup with six lefties and two switch-hitters against Rick Porcello. Kipnis went 3-for-3 with a homer against Porcello last month. Carlos Santana is 6-for-11 with three homers against him.

P: Fausto Carmona

I don’t have a problem with trying Kelly. Historically, we have few hitters who hit Carmona well. After 2007, we’ve had him on the ropes a number of times but then you look up and there’s Fausto, still pitching in the 7th inning.
Wind blowing basically in from LF tonight according to my weather report.

Delmon Young took a BB in the 1st inning. UNBELIEVABLE!
