Looks like a b line~up if I’ve ever seen one. Makes me wonder if anybody gives a crap!

What lineup would you put out there tonight? Just curious.

I was wondering the same thing. Ordonez isn’t hitting. I might like Santiago for Guillen rather than Peralta with Porcello on the mound, but I prefer a little more athleticism out there. I have no problem with Dirks in the lineup.

Don’t care for the line-up. I see pinch hitters coming in the near future. GO Ricky P GO !

Well, he likes the third spot

Ramon sure scoots well for a ‘slow’ runner.

Abreu is in a slump and desesperado for batting again

Great infield we have here in Detroit, the range is amazing isn’t it??

Santiago is making Leyland and DD look bad

Let’s hope Miggy doesn’t hit into a 1st pitch DP here in the 6th.
Be selective.

We are stuck up with Guillen… lucky us.He can still run

Sarcasm for the Sheldons

VMart comes through again. The guy has been great.
Miggy at least got the ball in the air. Man-he looked pretty lazy on the DP he hit into the previous at bat.
Nice job by our guys here in the 6th
Kudos to Ramon. I admire the heck out of the guy.

SO Abreu ,even if slumping, is a good feat

Will JL call the bullpen? The qs is enough with that advantage. Even Purcey can finish the game

I would NOT throw Porcello out there for the 8th. At least keep him on a very short lease. Don’t want an excellent outing becomome ordinary. Keep him stoked.
Very nice game he threw.

What a great game for RP. Excellent. Didn’t walk a batter either.
How nice is that and how effective is not givning free passes?

Need to see more playing like we did today. And Ramon—-yeah Leyland he can’t run much can he?

And he kept the inning alive for another run

Now, his first complete game or the bullpen?

And it began with the first homer allowed in a month and by the first batter of the game.

Man, Rick was good tonight. Outstanding.
You notice how many of our hits were just through the infield or just barely fair? One of those nights.
It appears that Boesch needs to hit in the 3-hole from here on out. I’m sure JL will stick Maggs right back in that spot tomorrow, but #30 needs to be slotted lower. I like having those more athletic and speedier runners ahead of Cabby and Victor. Dirks brings something to the game that we don’t often see in Detroit.
Fun game for all. It will be tough the next two days with Haren and Weaver going.

Well I guess I was wrong about the lineup? Fun game to be at!

Great pitching by Rick but unfortunate that he will always rely on the ump’s strike zone interpretation as a key part in his success.
Apart from the lead off homer, the Angels batters early on were largely laying off the low border line pitches which thankfully were largely (correctly) called strikes. Maybe the ump took exception to some of the looks and body language displayed as Rick got just about every close call.
I suppose human nature but a lot of the ump’s seem to widen the strike zone based on a pitcher’s recent history and reputation.
Any sport that uses technology exclusively for the media and fans to analyse the accuracy of calls without providing the umpires access via a review/appeal mechanism for the umpires will slowly but surely lose credibility.
