Tuesday: Tigers vs. Athletics

Austin Jackson returns to the lineup after head athletic trainer Kevin Rand cleared him during the off-day Monday. However, Jackson indicated he’s going to have to wrap his wrist for protection for the foreseeable future, likely the rest of the season.

Scott Sizemore, meanwhile, returns to Detroit for the first time since his trade, batting fifth in the A’s lineup. He’ll play third base alongside former Tigers prospect Guillermo Moscoso on the mound. You might remember him as one of two prospects traded for Gerald Laird.

AJAX is back! Hope he plays ok and for that matter I wanna see CABBY and boesch hit well tonight.

I’m wondering if Austin has carpal tunnel syndrome.

And Caaaaarlos has shown up!

Well AJ has to learn how NOT to look at fastballs down the middle with 2 strikes. If he doesn’t he’ll never hit above .250 again.
No comment on Inge or the guy who put him in the lineup.

I know that JL has tunnel vision syndrome.

The club has averaged 4.4 runs scored per game in 2011. Since Rick Knapp was fired they have averaged 2.9 runs per game. Did they fire the right guy?

So far Carlos has looked good in his return to action.
I’m actually surprised Moscoso pitched to Avila.

Porcello survived the bases loaded but not a single runner on base. For sure, a little run support wont hurt him.
Sizemore said he will hang out with his exteammates. i guess Porcello is not one of them

woooohooooooo Carlos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could not be any happier than I am right now – homerun baby!

I guess Carlos looking good so far is a bit of an understatement. Very impressive HR

Porcello had a brain freeze! He should know better.

Anyone remember when leyland used to talk about how he was taking it easy with carlos because carlos’ bat was going to be so huge? G. Sizemore => back on DL with knee problems…. And it’s nice to not see raburn out there……aaaahhhhhhh

Sizemore is out with head injured. I guess he would be in the contussion dl for 8 days.
Sorry for the last comment , i m following the game by gameday ,so i did not know it was so serious

I thought they said ?was hit on his jaw and he’d be day to day. Did you hear something else?

Yes, head injury. i was asking if he he would go into the new dl for concussions.Im in Venezuela following the game by gameday.

All the way in Venezuela? Wow! Is it as hot there as it is in Detroit right now.
.
Carlos looks like a young man playing tonight.

At some point you have to simply give up on Inge. They have taken this problem too far into the season.

Why I love Boesch—great hustle.

Well the Venezuelan Vaqueros are making you proud tonight amigo.

You just knew Miguel was going to hit a homerun in that big inning, his face showed he was determined. Games like today are why we get so frustrated in games we get blanked – we have the firepower just can’t always put it together so well.

Masterson is mastering the Twins tonight. What a game he is throwing tonight.
Some very encouraging reports tonight, Carlos, AJ and Q being the most encouraging. Peralta and Martinez keep up their steady play,

I haven’t seen so many smiling Tigers in one game since……..when? The final game of 2007 in Chicago? The one where all those individual accomplishments happened?
Carlos starts to play like this and you remember why his injuries are so devastating even when you know they’re coming. This is a huge addition right now.
Did anyone else think Cabby was ripe for an off speed pitch just before slamming yet another fastball into the sticky night?
That play at the plate by the master escape artist “The Amazing Vanishing Victor” was highlight stuff for sure. But what in the world was Lamont thinking by sending him? I believe in making them make the play but that was a suicide mission. Come on Gino, get with the program. First he stops everyone and now he sends everyone.

2nd & 3rd 1 out bottom of 9 in Minny. Twins behind 1-0
Thome up—IBB
C’Mon Twinkies!!! (Can’t believe I just said that1)

Twins Win! Got a couple of breaks in the bottom of the 9th.

How true Rich. In fact it often seems like we see Victor coming in strong toward 3rd, getting waved in and then hold your breath as you feel him running out of gas. I like Victor but man is he ever slow and slower. Huge break.

Indians and White Sox lose! The Twins were on the brink of losing 3 in a row to Cleveland. Tigers are now 2-2 since the ASB. Lots better than 0-6 for sure. I hope they bring their bats Wed night to help Below. Gio Gonzales has been no pushover.

Sorry, my mistake. The Tigers don’t face Gio. Instead it will be McCarthy. Better news?

What does this Fu Te Ni stuff tell you? He isn’t ready for the show is he?
