Sunday: Tigers vs. Giants

Victor Martinez is back in the lineup after leaving Saturday’s game with a bruised right shoulder. He said this morning he’s feeling fine.

Jhonny Peralta and Austin Jackson both get the afternoon off. For Jackson, it’s his third game out of the starting lineup in Detroit’s last 11 games, something that hasn’t happened all season. Again, Leyland pointed to the stretch that they’re on, with 37 games in 38 days.

Our #6 hitter was voted in to start as the AL starting catcher!!!
Congratulations AA.

Congratulations Alex! A well deserved honor!

Well there are afew starters that may be available. Hiroki Kuroda could help and WILL be available. Maybe Wandy Rodriguez?, Scott Kazmir is looking for a comeback opportunity.

Happy for you Alex, well deserved

I am glad I have plans and can’t watch today. I love my Tigers but it has been painful this week for the most part. I need a day away!

I had been planning my 1st ever trip to Comerica this year but have actually changed plans now. The team, as it is now, worries me and I couldn’t stand to sit through a series loss or sweep with all the expense and travel. I’ll wait for another time (year) where I feel waymore comfortable with making a decision like that.

The tigers pitchers must lead the league in wild pitches and runs scored off of them. The way they have pitched in the last two weeks against some pretty light hitting teams is mind boggeling.

Porcello still stinks today. Bunch of losers.

Villareal failed one and was sent to AAA. Raburn and Inge fail once and again and remain as regulars.
Intentional walk to Santiago to pitch to Inge
