Regarding last night it was just aweful! Left seconds after the 2nd slam. All I can say is they hit him like they knew what was coming? Not saying they did know it just felt like. Let’s hope for something better tonight. I just can’t take another last night. Besides Phil deserves better tonight. Up until his last outing he wasn’t a recipiant of much run support. Can’t trust any stater right now except for JV. Everyone but jV has mid 4 era’s. Not good

SOS SOS, SOS! We need help!

This will be a long night, there is no long relief available

Down and down we go, round and round we go, in a spin………………….

THUD!!! 4-0.

Coke continues to have trouble bearing down when things go wrong, regardless of whether he is at fault.

Porcello and now Coke throwing batting practice? The mets just seem to swing away and the ball finds a spot to drop. The Tigers’ batting just doesn’t seem to have that ability.

Yuk. Another beat down huh?

New night, same result. Doubt I’ll even bother to watch, especially with the lineup Leyland threw out there tonight.

Why does AJax play so shallow? I would think it would be easier for him to come in on a ball instead of catching them over his shoulder on the run (if he can catch up to it, that is).

Granderson played the sameway. At Copa is shallow but in anotehr park the ball will be hitting the wall. So most hitters wont go farther than he is.
Granderson said that he were more confortable at other parks for that

Maggs hit that ball well but it didn’t find a spot to drop. Let’s see what Coke can do the second inning. I don’t know if I can sit here through another night like last night.

Coke throws 31 pitches in the first, Capuano throws 10. It’s going to be one of those games again. Bye-bye bullpen.

I need to be positive. I need to be positive. That was a great catch Boesch made in the first inning. At that time it looked like it had saved some runs.
What is it with this insane Reyes? 6 for 6 and a walk in 2 games. The Mets want to move him?

Contract year. Usually, he plays when hi is on the mood

There’s another one. Peralta hit the ball well for an out. Oh. well, it is tough against CY Capuano.

This is all kinds of ugly, not sure how much more of this I can take. Another 2 out run! Lord all mighty.

What’s that stat they flashed on the screen? The Mets in the last 6 games are hitting .460 or something? Well, the Tigers have run into a hot-hitting team, that’s for sure.

Well were not going to get no-hit or shut out tonight. The only positive thing I have to say about this!

Nice home run by Raburn. One-in-a-million? It can’t have been that long, can it? Let’s hope it breaks some ice here.

I’m done, I am not going to watch this disaster for another second. Unfreaking believable. Again they are hitting like they know what’s coming, completely embarresing.

I sold 2 chairs on craigslist so I could buy a ticket to Saturday’s game. OMG!

This is game #81. The season will be half over tonight. The Tigers will be 43-38. If nothing changes, that comes out to 86-76. Can that win a division? The looming problem is that Porcello, Penny, and Coke have not been pitching well. When was the last time Scherzer won a game? There are big holes in the line-up, the worst being Raburn, Inge, and Ordonez. Perry, Purcey, and Schlereth have not helped the bullpen. Santiago, Wells, Kelly, and Dirks sit on the bench getting rusty. So 86-76 may be just a dream and the nightmare second half looms its ugly head starting tomorrow. Can JV pull the team back into the win column…..again?

Well admittedly I turned over here and thereband intime to see Miggy homer. I also noticed that we also stranded 2 runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs the previous inning. Too bad they didn’t cash any of those in, then we would really be in this thing. Did they ever say the yardage on that 2nd homer?

Gosh I really need to proof read. What I meant to type is that I turned back into the game and got turned over in time to see his second homer.

I like Ryan Raburn. I know it is not popular to say this, but I think his potential as a hitter is strong and he has hot streaks that make you pay attention to him. But he is NOT a second baseman. That ground ball needs to be stopped. An average 2B gets to that ball. Yes the solo HR tonight was nice, but now he has given away a couple in the 7th.
In March I thought it was a worthy experiment to move Coke to the starting rotation. But the experiment has failed. He cannot get RIghties out to be a starter. The record shows it. What is plan B? A trade? Furbush? As much of a problem that Raburn’s D is, starting pitching is starting to worry me even more.

Sorry I turned this one back on. Stupid stupid stupid. Like I said earlier they are hitting our pitchers like they know what’s coming. It is literally unreal.

The Mets are really on a hitting tear. Needless to say, they’re usually nothing like this. Combine that with our pitching and it’s pretty nightmarish. How often does a team hit five homers and lose by five runs? It got so bad that I spent the 9th inning playing my guitar and I was halfway through “Till I Gain Control Again” before I realized it was appropriate for Purcey’s trouble throwing strikes.
Not a good homestand and not a good interleague season.
