That lineup is built to fail. As much as I like Magglio, he should not be in the lineup, much less hitting in front of Cabby. Boesch after Cabby offers no protection now that he’s starting what looks like his second half slump last year when he was hitting after Cabby (hmm, see a pattern here Jim?). Raburn is hit or miss, literally. And Jackson and Inge have been cold.
I really did like yesterday’s lineup with the mix of young guys. That’s the future of this club. Why stick with what isn’t working when you could be building the future?

I’d rather have Raburn behind Cabrera. Ryan is accustomed to trying too hard. I’m only half joking.
I guess Santiago has shaken off the effects of that HBP? That had to have colored up pretty good.

I checked with Santiago today. It bruised up pretty good, he said, but he said he’s fine.

same verlander, and he’s suppose to be the tiger ace

Avila has got to start hitting higher in the lineup. Boesch third and Avila fifth?

breaking news inge strikes out again

Raburn bad at the field again.
Jackson looking bad too at the field
Another “hit” for Detroit pitchers thanks to Inge
A wrong throw with luck for Avila
A passball showing lack of experience
Magglio had bad luck with that line
Time to made changes.
Peralta 3b
Worth SS
Santiago at 2b
Raburn released
Magglio to DL
Jackson at 9th or aaa, his defense is not there anymore. The first inning line was a hard but not impossible catch
Boesch was fine until thursaday, he was in a 10 games streak but he is pressing too much again

I am getting frustrated watching the same game every night. The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
.
I sure am glad the tigers didn’t resign Polanco and his current .385 avg. to a contract similar to what they paid Inge (sarcasm). Our lineup has suffered ever since, especially at 2nd base.
.
One more thought, on Sunday’s game Mario and Rod kept saying that Leyland and Dombroski didn’t expect Benoit to perform like he did last year. If that is the case then why did they go after him so aggressively in the off season?
