Tuesday: Tigers at Mariners

No Victor Martinez, obviously. No Magglio Ordonez, either, which considering the DH slot is open strongly suggests he’s not in an everyday playing mode quite yet.

Well, Rich so much for the idea of not putting Boesch 5th.

Mr. Psychologist JL is gonna have he!! to pay if Boesch starts whiffing and Cab starts drawing intentional walks again. Boesch was going good and now they are going to heap the pressure on him. On the other hand, if he meets the challenge, we actually have found a solution perhaps.

That puts Inge as the 2nd highest paid offensive player followed by Peralta.

Judging a lineup by the payroll tied into it? What is this, 2008?

What a ridiculous lineup, Kelly 3rd?

Well Martinez hasnt shown much so far this year. I watched him for several days in Lakeland. He wasnt showing too much down there. Im somewhat disappointed in him so far. Boesch on the other hand, watched him as well. He played hard every game I saw. A lot to be said for an enthusiastic player who is happy hanging out in the dug out, playing or not. The love of the sport goes a lot further than all the money in the world!

Thoroughly enjoying watching the phillies get beat up by the Brewers. One of my own relatives came into the store where I work in a phillies beanie hat. Looked ridiculous. A lifelong, or so I thought, Tiger fan gone turncoat.

I’d shut the game off before I’d were another team’s cap.

“wear”. You know what I meant to write.

After those 1st three at bats, I am sensing a long night at the plate for Tiger hitters AGAIN!

Oh, my, what a start.

Going to give it a little more time, but may not be worth staying up for.

Major screw up by Brennen???

I made no judgement on lineup – just stated a fact allowing others to see the obvious that the heart of the lineup apart from Miggs is missing – Carlos, Maggs and Victor.

My one big criticism of DD has been his inability to cut losses only eating final years of contracts long gone bad. Hopefully we are past that this year. Hard to get your team to excel if you pick on $$$ ahead of performance.

That was a gorgeous catch by Kelly.

7 walks and we are in the 5th inning? Not going to win too many this way…

maybe tomorrow. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Remember when we had Gum Time? It almost always worked.

What a whupping!

Pup – we could use something like gum time again, anything to get this team moving in a consistent manner. Too many injured stars that can’t contribute, too many bottom 3 hitters being put in the top 3 positions. I fell asleep at 4-1 last night so not sure where the other runs came from until I read the box, but Coke had a rough start for sure. Too bad, could have been back to .500 along with a Cleveland loss.

Let’s win today and at least win an away series.
