Monday: Tigers at Mariners

Remember when I said a couple weeks ago that Ryan Raburn wouldn’t be playing second anytime soon? Yeah, well, I stand corrected. Sometimes, tough times change plans, though I wouldn’t expect any long-term shift. Victor Martinez is limited to DH this series while he deals with a sore groin, leaving Magglio Ordonez in right field. Otherwise, Alex Avila would probably have been the odd man out.

Raburn worked exclusively as an outfielder this spring, though. This will be his first start at second base since last August 15.

Looking at that line-up I would guess Seattle is starting a left-hander. If V-Mart is semi-injured and must DH and Avila has to start, where is Wells who hit the home run Sunday?
He bats right-handed. JL must figure Boesch has to play so why not Wells in center and give AJ more time to think?

Raburn at second all of a sudden? Holy…………..
Man, he sure gets jacked around. And where’s Santiago? This smacks of desperation. Makes a stronger lineup (on paper), which is why so many inquired about it. Yikes, good luck with this, Ryan.

Ryan Raburn, 2B
Magglio Ordonez, RF
Miguel Cabrera, 1B
Victor Martinez, DH
Brennan Boesch, LF
Casper Wells , CF
Jhonny Peralta, SS
Alex Avila, C
Brandon Inge, 3B
The best batter at third post

Pujols bat third for SL

we have too many guys that need to dh due to injury. I would have guessed Ramon as well for the fielding aspect.

Anyone know where to watch the game? Just turned on FSD and they have the Red Wings playing.

Never mind, found it (power of the internet) it is on FSD Plus if you have it. Not like I’ll stay awake for it all…

Raburn has been a strikeout machine lately. Not sure why he was at 2B instead of Ramon.
