Sunday: Jackson starts after all

Jim Leyland said Saturday night he was probably going to give Austin Jackson off Sunday and get his mind clear. However, Jackson is in the lineup after all. It came out after Leyland talked this morning, so there’s no reason given. It’s worth noting, though, that Jackson went 4-for-10 off Luke Hochevar last year.

Magglio Ordonez is off. He’s being rested for the ankle. Boesch and Raburn are in the corners.

1. Austin Jackson, CF
2. Will Rhymes, 2B
3. Brennan Boesch, RF
4. Miguel Cabrera, 1B
5. Victor Martinez, DH
6. Ryan Raburn, LF
7. Jhonny Peralta, SS
8. Alex Avila, C
9. Brandon Inge, 3B

I like Boesch hitting third. That’s a JL move I like.

As your stats pointed out the other day, the third hole is were he is seeing more pitches and hence doing better.
As a side note, saw Max Scherzer last night he was eating at the same resturant we were last night.

5-1 huh? Can’t believe it. Oh, well, back to work.

Tigers really stunk it up out there today, and for that matter most every game this season. I know it is extraordinarily early but with the exception of a few it has been poorly pitched and fielded baseball. Doesn’t really make you all warm and fuzzy does it!
