Sunday: Tigers at Blue Jays (again)
The Tigers at back at Dunedin Stadium? And Jeremy Bonderman is starting against the Jays? Is this Groundhog Day? Apparently not, considering it’s about 25 degrees warmer than Round 1 of this matchup last Wednesday.
It’s also a different lineup with more regulars. Other than the injured Brandon Inge and the healthy Miguel Cabrera, every Tigers regular is in the lineup. Guillen is starting in left field, while Johnny Damon is the DH.

Anybody else wondering why we haven’t seen Brandone Inge appear as DH? I thought the plan was to get him into the field at the back half of ST abut that he would be able to at least get his ABs in.
Oh–I see he is planned to start in a week. Should have read the previous post. BTW, no pun on words on Brandon’s name above—it was a typo.
I think that plan on Inge was going to be a consideration once he was closer to getting into games, and probably at home. I’m guessing they don’t want his surgically repaired knees bouncing around on a bus trip yet.
Wow–Bonderman is getting humiliated against the Jays early in the 1st inning. Can’t wait to hear the JL spin on this performance.
The Tigers are paying $27.5 MILLION to 3 starting pitchers (Bonderman, Robertson and Willis) and are HOPING that even ONE of them will crack the rotation and DREAMING that TWO of them will.
Thanks Jason. A good solid year from Inge will be critical to the Tigers this year.
Just got home and checked the score. Holy smokes, Bondo better get his act together. I guess a couple more starts will be more telling.
